    The New Jerusalem - Who's in it - Who's outside ?

Sorry...I didn't put enough emphasis on the "and" to show a distinction between the righteous that lives in the nations and the filthy which roam in the wilderness in the darkness. The righteous are those deemed just by God...innocent. The filthy are those who hold the truth but in unrighteousness.

    Can You Be Righteous

Let's be clear about this...the law itself does not lead to death...only putting our trust in our own ability to follow the law leads to death. Pro_7:2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. Hos_4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou...

Understanding HEBREWS - is it for Jew or Christian ?

In Christ there is no difference between Jews and Gentiles. It should be noted that none of the books of the bible were written to modern believers...at least not directly. Are we Romans or Corinthians? So the word comes alive through the Holy Spirit as He directs us and teaches us. The book...

    The Narrow Way

Jer_31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Heb 8:10...

    The Narrow Way

Again...this is not a final judgment issue for the individual...but a corporate issue for overcoming the world.

Is partial obedience better than nothing?

All this is true! But God is a divine community Himself. We are not created to remain divided as separate creations but into family. We begin life in an earthly family...we are reborn into a heavenly one. The purpose of God is that we be one. A peculiar and holy people. One should never argue...

    The Narrow Way

This is not the intention of the statement of Jesus. Why then would He call men away from their families? Rather a husband and wife are ONE in the flesh. A gathering of disciples of Christ are ONE in the Spirit (not the flesh). So you would have to have 2 or three families gathered together to...

Is partial obedience better than nothing?

Mat_5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Psa_18:25 With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright; So I repeat...with the merciful God is merciful... In both cases they went 2 steps away from obedience. The...

Is partial obedience better than nothing?

With the merciful God is merciful.

Is partial obedience better than nothing?

Here is a quote from Jesus on the matter... Mat 25:26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Mat 25:27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at...

Is partial obedience better than nothing?

Anything is better than nothing. Even a cup of cold water given shall be rewarded.

    How to be saved

Mat_10:39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

    The New Jerusalem - Who's in it - Who's outside ?

Only the saints abide in the city. The overcomers through Christ are the bride of Christ. Outside are the righteous among the nations and the filthy who wander in the wilderness. The latter are they who kept soiling their garments. Rev 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that...

    Can You Be Righteous

Saved means not dead. There are vessels of both honour and dishonour in the next age. If you read the text without prejudice you will see what the meaning is! Luk_19:26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be...

    The Narrow Way

Yes! But this is a corporate endeavour. We are to lay down our lives for the brethren as our Master did. Christianity is not a religion of personal attainment. The world as well as the principalities can see this through the shared life of Jesus in our midst. We are not to come out of the ways...

Agreed! But the Lord does not say..."one of the options for being My disciple is to forsake all"

    Can You Be Righteous

] It is not..."it will not produce a reward" It is...they will be cut off (suffer grievous loss)

    Can You Be Righteous

A believer can be cut off and cast into outer darkness. This is the fate of those who are saved as by fire. So it is not true that only differing rewards await the believer...there is also net loss. 1Co 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 1Co...
