LOL No! In fact a few friends of mine go. It's at 9 in the evening and I'm beginning to not like going out that late. I'm tired and settled in. I went a couple of times and he didn't really teach anything I don't already know, but it was very nice and he does a good job, and answer questions...

I'm not familiar with either church. If a church accepts abortion, I don't think it's following Jesus' teachings. His teachings MUST be followed. This gets into what makes one a Christian. Believe Jesus is God. Believe in the resurrection. Believe what Jesus taught those 3 years. Be baptized...

Mary's geneology had to go back to David. Joseph was not Jesus' father.

Great story! Great themes. Here's one: Apparently the cost of roast beef had gone up a lot in the MIL's day. JK Let's see. 1. We should try to be open minded. 2. We should ask and not assume things. 3. We should be kind to the younger generation. 4. We should be kind to the older...

When did Jesus say His mother was assumed into heaven? When did He speak about purgatory? 1 Corinthians 3 is not about purgatory. Can't think of anything else right now.

Wow. You computer smart! Me dumb. I think some images just won't allow a download... Not sure.

Of course Dahling... How does one go without? Also two chopper pads and many toys. Following are some toys I currently own: and will soon be adding my very own private submarine. Oh my...how boring without all this stuff.

Please explain your second paragraph. I don't know what you mean. There is only one God,,,and Jesus has revealed that God.

@Marymog Post 430 could be for you too. I don't know where to start...

Hi Nancy... Could you look this up? I've been interested in the Shroud lately because I'm beginning to believe it's the real thing. I heard the other day that a blood analysis was done and they found 23 chromosones from a female and 1 from a male. Would you know how to find out about this online?

Nancy, I don't think Mary meant anything in a mean way. You had said you drown in information so she was just being cute. I mean REALLY cute. RECONCILIATION!!

Oh. This is easy...to explain I mean. Doctrine doesn't save us. God does. or as we like to say these days...Jesus saves us. The ECFs also believed Jesus saves...but sometimes I think we get the wrong impression from this expression. Anyway, yeah. I have a problem with purgatory. I have a...

This came to mind: The devil might have gloried in Jesus' death.... until the resurrection. (the devil does not foreknow the future, like God does).

Needless to say, I agree with all you've said and find it very difficult to understand how anyone could believe something different since what you've posted is clear in scripture.

I used to teach our faith to children in church. You could teach them to love Jesus and to keep Him close. You could teach them to trust the New Testament. (The OT is a bit much for them, but I always went through the creation). This is good because in school they're being taught only science...

I'm wondering what the denomination is....

I feel like @stunnedbygrace and I are very alike. I've also noticed that it's not easy to speak about spiritual things.... Sometimes persons are saying the same thing using different words. Like you say we cannot sin after being saved because we can't sacrifice Jesus again. This goes to...

Oh. I agree. That's why I read from different theologies and learn from those that know more than I do. Trying to understand the covenants from the bible alone is pretty much impossible...Ditto for the Trìinity,,,Ditto for Justification and Sanctification...Ditto for baptism....there's just too...

@Grailhunter Hi GH.... Too much to read here. Going to print the above and read it in a while. In the meantime, I'd like you to know that I'm familiar with the covenants and will be reading the above with interest. If often ask persons that tell me we are no longer required to follow...

I understand. Here's the glitch, as I've perceived it on these forums. The laws are not done away with. Jesus said so. But for us who love Him,,,we follow our love, not the laws. The is grace and not The Law. Also, some go WAY BACK and think the law means the Law of Moses...all 613 of them...
