And so when a person knows the Lord via regular communication, might there not be a problem with choosing to witness via this inking process rather than as led by the Holy Spirit? Without the Holy Spirit, we are blind, are we not, to God and the things of God?

When an natural infant comes out into the natural light, he cannot do much or see much at the first. He is a "new" little man, but a very immature "new" little man. Apostle Paul is speaking of the new man born from above or born again as per Jesus in John 3:3. Our problem is that the old man of...

@marks The unveiled face? When Moses sought to see God he was allowed to see only the hinder parts because as it is written... "And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live." Ex 33:20 Later David was told to seek the face of God and so he did. "When thou...

The time or place is described here: "Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that...

I have had a problem in the past in trying to read and answer all of the posts... so sometimes I do not. Either the number posted has increased since I have been here on this forum or I have slowed down quite a bit. I believe that both things many be certainly true but the latter is...

@Truth OT Still all alone here? Perhaps someone will come by soon and dip into your offering.

@farouk This thing of having two witnesses to something is important in the things of God but as is the way of men, it can be and is at times misused... "And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to...

Whatever you are HIH, remember what Jesus was and how he carried himself. He knew that he needed to remain silent even they were bearing false witness against him. Can we always do that? By the Holy Spirit in us, we can... but so many cases there are now, I believe, of people quenching the Holy...

Some people may indeed be making up things, but you should not generalize... lumping everyone that is not exactly where you are with those who are purposely falsifying. Remember what Solomon wrote 3,000 years ago is still true today: "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD...

@Devin Wintch Welcome to the forum!

@Entanglement Welcome to the forum. @Pisteuo has already taken care of the fruit basket so I'll leave that alone. Muffin, soap and oil are someone else. I would give whatever God would provide as did Peter at the Beautiful Gate if you would accept. That man was astonished after 40 years...!

Even so and sometimes people who consume what is written and God breaths on it within them bringing it to Life. So simple as I see it, but are there more than a few here who agree? I don't mind walking without any man beside me, but I do want to be on the Lord's side regardless.

Extreme from either side or moderate, I would like to be on the Lord's side wherever that is!

Then perhaps doctors could help, but I would still like to see God send a man of God to him with the right prescription not coming from a pharmacy.

If you don't understand what I was saying that is OK. I won't go into it further. I believe this is where God has led me. I did appreciate the excerpt from AW Pink. That title caught my attention. Checking I see where a number of years ago I obtained portions of a book by him entitled "Gleanings...

@Anthony D'Arienzo

Yes, sometimes I am difficult to live with I know, but after 48 years, she knows me without exaggeration in some ways better than I know myself.

That he needs help is certain, but if by, professional, you mean secular, I do disagree. I had backed away because I recognized that I was being drawn in and not helping him at all. God is able to provide what is needed. In the interim our part may be prayer.

@Anthony D'Arienzo Give God the glory! Thanks for the link, but while I may listen, whether or not I ask questions will depend on what I hear. I am hoping God sends someone who is willing to be sharpened as I sharpen in the flesh. I had one such who died about 4 months ago. There is now...

@Anthony D'Arienzo Oh it is what I meant but we often speak different languages. You have learned yours as the Catholics learned theirs and as the plumbers, who fix peoples pipes have learned theirs, as I have learned the one that I speak. On forums like this we learn something of the...
