    How to Walk in Righteousness

I've found at the conscious level, I sin not because I stopped trusting Jesus, but I failed to take every thought captive to Christ. When things inevitably go sideways, I am disappointed in myself and ask, "Why didn't I pray on this before I acted?"

    How to Walk in Righteousness

You take the converse of what I said to suit your purposes. There is not much to understand: Eat this and die. Obey and live. Chose one.

    How to Walk in Righteousness

Epi has discredited himself so thoroughly, I take it as a given that he is misrepresenting what -honest- people @ CyB has said to him. That is, unless they are already part of his cult.

Except for our Creator. And that's the beautiful part of his redemption plan. No human has to be RIGHT (on doctrine) in order to be right with God.

    How to Walk in Righteousness

Methinks that's a great topic for another thread. A brief answer is how I am aware than sin does not have the sway over me it did. If I may confess, I believe we are not equally prone to all sin. Some of us are more prone to one type of sin or another. Like the Son's of Thunder, I used to have...

F = ma, even at the quantum level. It's just bound to discreet quantum levels. TRANSLATION: If what you wrote has truth in it, no one's intentions will change it. OTOH, if what you say is false, someone's 'less than pure intentions' won't save you.

    How to Walk in Righteousness

You just try that imagining to your hearts desire. As you are imagining, keep in mind that no matter how wrong @marks might be (or anyone else), it does not make Epi right. ;)

    How to Walk in Righteousness

Agreed. Despite my daughter possibly having substandard clarity on esoteric biological classification on nomenclature of all known forms of life, she's going to inherit all I have, except for what I specify to be left to my grandchildren. The things that matter most should never be at the mercy...

    How to Walk in Righteousness

Well, sub means below, like submarine. Super means above, as in supercede. They are geographically relational terms. They do not mean logic or the law is suspended. We all know jettisoning the confines of logic is foundational for your particular brand of mysticism to flourish. Of course, you...

2 Months and 1/2 Are Left Until the Two Witnesses of Revelation Appear

Two weeks left for your time table to be proven true.

    The First Condition of salvation

I never claimed James was teaching risk. I said those who advocate work - like you - risk boasting. Truth is known, not done. What a pretentious way to avoid the point. You seem to put yourself beyond temptation. Carry on.

    Narcissistic, indeed.

    How to Walk in Righteousness

Epi, my friend. We agree. Dismissing your sarcasm, it is up to us to love God with our all. If our understanding fail some Epi test, it does not mean the mind is not loving God with it's all. This is true EVEN IF a person is dim witted and relies all the more on God's grace.

    How to Walk in Righteousness

Yup. Sad but true. He always assumes the position of lecturer, swatting away kinks in his armor - that is more kink than armor.

    How to Walk in Righteousness

Right. We are not saved by our mind.

    How to Walk in Righteousness

Agreed. We are not saved because of our understanding. Notice how understanding is not among the 10C. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten understanding to the world. Is that how your translation reads?

    How to Walk in Righteousness

Knowledge ("understanding the truth") is an IDOL, the lesson from Original Sin. Do you suppose only MENSA members may enter heaven, with their greater capacity to understand the truth?

    How to Walk in Righteousness

The Gospel is not complicated. Just because you ask questions does not change the fact. Your attempt to muddy the waters with divisive questions does not change the fact. Making an IDOL of your doctrines does not change the fact. Over-analysis leads to paralysis - even for Epi.

    How to Walk in Righteousness

I recall Ben Franklin commenting that although not gone, he has the satisfaction of knowing his faults have diminished over time.

Agreed. POU. What is the philosophy of use? My Bible Study pastor pointed out Jesus and the Apostles did not have the Bible. And they did alright, changing the world.
