    How Should Christian's Vote ?

Why didn't the early Christians just vote Caesar out of office? ;) When you mix something holy with the world...you get more of the world. LIke mixing something pure with something impure. Nothing becomes pure by mixing.

Mind of the Spirit / Mind of the Flesh

This is a wrong reading of the verse. The logic is saying that one who is glorified goes through all the necessary steps. To make an acceptance of Christ as a guaranteed glorification is way out there. The logic goes like this...the little league player becomes a pro, then plays the world...

    James 1:19-25?

We are of Joseph...which means increase...and of Ephraim which means double fruit (fruit of obedience AND the fruit of the Spirit.)

    How Should Christian's Vote ?

A Christian should vote with his feet. No one engaged in heavenly things gets entangled in the affairs of this world.

Mind of the Spirit / Mind of the Flesh

Jesus Christ is a Saviour that can actually save us from the power of the flesh. When Paul says it is no longer he that lives but Christ....he is showing that power over the law of sin and death. Those who are in Christ are under a new power and law...the law of the Spirit of life in Christ...

    Salvation really?

Mind of the Spirit / Mind of the Flesh

I think what Jake is saying is that walking in the Spirit IS that state of not sinning!
  8. Episkopos

    Salvation really?

Salvation is the grace working through us to do good works.

The Church Is Not Walking In Her Full Authority !!

Aye! The church is not walking in it's full consecration either. Could these be related?

Goodbye everone and God bless you all.

Please remain teachable in the doctrines which do not impinge on having a direct relationship with God. A true disciple, it seems, must shed many layers of doctrinal coverings before coming to the place of the unity of faith in the mind of Christ. Don't stop seeking for Christ and the truth!

Mind of the Spirit / Mind of the Flesh

We are not indebted to the flesh to live according to it any longer. We have been given a way out...a new nature that conforms to Christ. How deeply we live this depends on our need and desire of the Lord and our faith. The grace of God is available to empower a walk that is identical with...

Mind of the Spirit / Mind of the Flesh

To live according to the carnal nature is sin!

    Salvation really?

Legalism is where one says..."you should be obeying the law the way I do or you are not with God." This is wickedness in the eyes of God. The Pharisees missed the bigger picture by judging from themselves and by nit-picking and bothering others about their way of keeping the law. They condemned...

    Sins of the church

This thread is about to be hijacked towards the sabbath agenda. Do you do this willfully? Yes or No?

    Salvation really?

Let's see...there is the Old Testament and the...Same Old testament! Is the NEW Testament just a Greek translation of the Old version? Just a different binding? Or are old things passed away and ALL things are become new?

    Invasion for Christ's sake

Is the jihad of a Christian like that of a Muslim?

Handling favor and a good name.

We must count all attainments as nothing and continue to serve in obscurity. We must be ever vigilant of being puffed up with pride. Each new advancement must be embraced into obscurity.

Mind of the Spirit / Mind of the Flesh

The underlying question is... Are we as Christians responsible for our own actions or not?

    Marriage-Divorce-Remarriage is not Adultery

Are you saying that a person no longer reaps what they have sown? Are we no longer responsible for our own actions? The taking away of responsibility for actions is lawlessness...the very thing that Jesus accuses those whom He states He never knew.
