@farouk No, only a little more time spent on the old ones!

I also only learned about the existence of the word, exegesis, during my time on Internet Christian forums. I still don't use the word and dislike many of the contexts where I have seen it used. Often people speak as if without correct exegesis a person cannot know God or whether or not...

It is in the churches because it is in so many [or even all?] of the people. It has been called a creeping worldiness, which if not nipped by those who are able to nip it [who can do this without God's help?] will end up being a completely 'dead' gathering of dead people. Consider the...

I remember when I first arrived in that first Pentecostal church and everyone looked so beautiful to me. They were, to me, at the time, seemingly, full of peace, joy and righteousness. I knew God, but I knew practically nothing about Him except that He was good, as the scripture says. But at the...

I hear you loud and clear. I can still remember every dog I ever had. I often remember their beginning with me ... and also that very painful end. The first one I remember was when I was a very small boy. Her name was Blondie [my first Blondie as there was another one later] and we lived on a...

This kind of reminds me of some who talk on forums as if all their problems were solved for some hereafter and therefore nothing to worry about here. 'Just join them and everything will be OK'. Or there are others who claim to be among the preselected elect of God and either we, you and I, are...

You see that the questions keep coming in our sometimes seriously sincere attempts to answer one another's questions. This brings us back to the "born of the Spirit" question, which some people ask in particular about others, but of themselves, what of myself? You want a hard, black and white...

The new man has to overcome. He is not born in us already having overcome. He is born in us so that he can overcome. Before Jesus and pouring out of the Holy Ghost, the average believing 'Joe' could not overcome the world of men's ways. God made it a possibility, but we, once the Door is open...

@My Dreams Praying for your situation!

Yeah it's a different one. The lady I knew, named Sue, called herself a homemaker and lived in South Carolina. She writes and sings her own songs. She was quite talented as well as being a woman of God!

Especially perhaps because we were innocent still of all the junk that even we, ourselves, were later to consume. Place then had to be made for Jesus to enter into us later on... We had to go back to childhood? "And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little...

@Heart2Soul I wrote the following here a couple of years ago and have only revised it slightly to fit in with this thread: The Spirit is the Blood of Jesus. In the OT especially in the Book of Leviticus it is made clear that life is in the blood, but that is speaking of carnal animals [and...

Let me try this again in a different way. In the beginning consider how God created things... "For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and...

I tried a fish tank myself once. It was really nice and the whole family liked it. When after a while I realized it was always going to be up to me alone to maintain it, it went by the wayside... And my fish were never furry!

No cats, but a couple of other furry critters also without firewood.

Sitting with my coffee in front of him as if it were his. Some people & cats have a lot of nerve!

I wonder if it is the same lady I knew slightly on another forum. She frequently posted some very stirring things, but while they did not ban her, the moderators told her she must tone down her posts. She refused to do that and quit the forum. I still am connected to her Blog by the same name as...
