UN declares man-made climate change is a fraud.

BrotherDThomas, Welcome to the forums. I suspect we will have lively discussions on a great many things. W

Dropship, What a provocative thread. Thanks! ;) The 1st problem is many Christian pastors attempt to get the flock to abdicate their responsibility as citizens in not applying Biblical principles or guiding the flock on how to apply Scripture to issues of the day. We thus abandon the field to...

You're in my prayers Holy999.

I forgot about that! Great point.

People who get married say I DO. Doesn’t make all who got married throughout history claiming to be one Being or the same as the first who got married.

Agreed! The lost art of discretion. Not only forming new friendships but energizing existing friendships. Perhaps not coincidently, I took my granddaughter last week to the play Hamilton. A character repeatedly chastened Hamilton to "speak less and smile more." The predominant philosophy of...

Had a Providential meeting at a restaurant last night with a brother in Christ. Invited him to join us as he waited for his female friend to arrive. When she did, he asked her if she wanted a separate table or to fellowship with siblings in Christ. 3.5 hours later we called it a night. I...

Personification. Ez 26 is talking about the city of Tyre. Do cities sleep or have feeling, like terror?

I never said hell is a myth either! Is your reading comprehension really that bad? I said the myth of hell. Muhammad Ali once said he was so fast, he turn flip the light switch and be in bed before the light shut off. While Muhammad Ali is real, this myth of Ali is not real. Sheesh!

Yes, God prefaced the explicit answer of what his name is with his defining attribute of existing eternally. We speak this way today. Suppose you come up to a seen on a road with multiple cars piled up in all directions. I am just standing there taking in the seen, perhaps in shock. You come up...

I believe the more you immerse yourself in Scripture, the easier this becomes. Do you remember that passage of Scripture where Jesus says his sheep know his voice? I do not take this literally. It means God's elect know the truth. We know the truth. I started a thread that sadly got locked...

Can't agree. No one is truly one thing and nothing else. I am an American. You are British. The list of other things we are - in addition to Christian - is substantial. Any time I hear "no true Christian would ...," I cringe. A good example is the Rules for Christian Living, Rom 12 says to give...

Ever found a 'conspiracy theory' that did not end up being true? The term itself was invented by the CIA to discourage people from properly identifying the mischief they were causing. If you believe 54 year old Lisa Marie Presley's sudden death - and many like her - had nothing to do with...

Friend, we have a mountain of conspiracy facts.

Another myth that @Aunty Jane pointed out. Jesus said to fear the one who can destroy your soul. Therefore, it cannot be immortal.

It is interesting. @Aunty Jane referenced in a thread ~6 months ago that there are several pervasive myths in Christianity and eternal, fiery suffering is one. The objection to the myth of hell is, therefore, not limited to unbelievers. It's time to dispense with the myth. "Hell" is a just a...

I like simple. Thanks!
