For some reason, you keep trying to make this personal. The evidence is in. The KJV is obsolete, both FROM the manuscripts the translation came from; and the TO, no one speaks this way anymore. This is the reason modern translations use the better Alexandrian manuscripts.

Ya, OK. I post links to support my argument, not make it for me. How about we return to the OP? I may be getting confused between current threads on essentially same topic but I made this point recently. It is preposterous to assert that any ancient document that is closer to the source with...

Episkopos has shown himself to be wrong about a great many things, especially this; the criteria of obtaining salvation. Romans 10:9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Episkopos is such a mystic, he sees fit...

Well, deflecting from your hijacking attempt and back to the OP, whose thesis is the original manuscripts of KJV is not worse than older manuscripts of modern translations. To support this, the OP relies on opinion and personal attack of Wescott and Hort. Bad conversation. I can just imagine...

It’s funny because I think the same way about you. Remember, If I say something that could be taken 2 ways, and one way is wrong, I meant the other way.

Another copy and paste! You must do this hoping I make your point for you. LOL.

You do like to get lost in the weeds, in search of a cogent argument, changing the subject time and again. This thread is not about my preferences for the name of Jesus’ God.

What?! No answer? Shocked! I’m shocked.

Still relying on copy and paste as a substitute for you making an argument. I don’t use the term Jehovah. Point is. Certainly, ‘LORD’ is not Jesus’ God’s name.

From your own links; it is a translation. Of his real name. Is Jesus the real name of the son of God?

The test of salvation per the NT is to have the humility to admit you cannot meet the standard on your own and need a savior, aka faith. If you have such pride as to assert your own strength of character will meet God’s standard - without reliance on his son - you have doomed yourself.

I never heard that! Yeshua is the name Mary called her son when dinner was ready. His God's name is YHWH. I don't like that we change proper names when translating but we do. Those names are in English, Jesus and his God Jehovah. I know that you know that.

Many people make this mistake. They fixate on why while ignoring WHAT. Fact is, God's name, his personal name was removed from Scripture some 7,000 times. Understanding why, is secondary. Calling it a conspiracy changes nothing. What lengths do you think Satan would go to not give glory to God?

Exactly. Removing God's name from his book is not a function of technology. It is a moral choice. @RLT63 asked if we know WHY. My reply is to focus on the WHAT. I truly do not care why people from an ancient land altered God's word. Of all God's word, the one I most want to know is his personal...

Why matters not to me. Give me the facts and I'll draw my own moral conclusions.

And removing God’s personal name makes a mockery of when Jesus taught us to pray. Hallowed be thy name? What name is that?

What is God's name and what verse says it?

I believe it means to be equally yoked. My BIL recently got engaged, 7 months after his wife of 25 years past away. The year before a friend got divored. He was also married nearly a quarter century. My friend is opposed to dating a woman who smokes. Has not even had one girlfriend yet since...

Allow me to make a reasoned defense of those who say not to spiritualize or over-spiritualize Scripture. One of the sayings I hate is 'happy medium' because it implies something that is not necessarily true, such as compromising with evil. So, the subject comes down to proper discerning of...

So do I. My point is the shock after being immersed in worship music to the spiritually harshness of secular music. Doubtful coincidence. Providence must have guided me to those harsh secular songs after spiritual immersion. The contrast was striking.
