Isn't that a risk we all take if we are open to new information and coming to different conclusions based on new information?

‘Not necessarily more’ is epistemological ambiguous. Totally applies to the KJV as one of the oldest. Beyond that, since when was ‘necessarily more accurate’ the standard in considering documents closer to the source more reliable?

The inspiration for this is a coworker who observed ‘they’ play all these word games, trying to change the meaning of words. We all know Jesus is known as the word of God, the truth, the light and the way. There are those of us who can readily discern his voice, his words, his truth. In this...

Irrelevant facts to the point of is Judas one of the Twelve.

I am not doubting that Luther was antiemitic. I am doubting your claim that he was directly responsible for the holocaust. From your article: The racialized anti-Jewish Nazi ideology converged with antisemitism that was historically widespread throughout Europe at the time and had deep roots in...

You are just inventing that standard. Where is that in Scripture? Sad that so many reject facts and invent a rejection criteria that is anti-Biblical. My original wife does not change because we later got divorced. From The Twelve Apostles* | ESV.org The Twelve Apostles* Matthew 10:2–4 Mark...

I appreciate your empathizing with a newbie. :) He's asking a question that deserves to be answered. Satan's ideals are not something to live up to. What's wrong with the people of this world is that they don't have Jesus. What's wrong with the people of this world is NOT "failure to...

But socialism is the Borg. Jesus is not condoning or commanding collectivism.

While I love the series, S3 E3 blow me away. The director said now that all the Apostles are together, the show will start getting darker. Jesus returns to Nazareth while sending the Apostles on their first missionary work, where they feel wholly in adequate to the tasks. Jesus delegated to...

And what have you bought into? That more accurate information is worse?!

You got the application of the quotes wrong. Jesus never said the collective is to take care of the poor, etc. He appealed to an individual conscience. That's the difference.

You just repeated your claim. Where is this direct evidence coming from?

Woah! False dichotomoy there bro. It is not socialism v 'a money-oriented approach to everything.' To claim Jesus preached socialism is to deny the differentiating characteristic of both. Socialism is collectivism and coercive. Jesus made individuals appeals and never proposed using the...

False. Not everything is equal.

Appeal to Strawman. You are denying the KJV is the worst translation.

There are 3 fatal flaws with socialism: Violates Justice Violates Law of Supply and Demand Violates Human Nature 1. Violates Justice The dead giveaway that socialism violates justice, is their admission that “justice” needs an adjective. Social justice is no kind of justice at all. So much...

Yea, I too have noticed that bitterness and hatred of men. What's most surprising is how out of place it is in the conversation. She is in total denial. Really? Luther criticized the corruption of the RCC. Somehow this translates to directly justifying the Nazi's exterminiating Jews. What?

Enoch, it's nice to be fully aligned with you. :) Mr E, this is such a bizarre non-response to Enoch's post. Can you connect the dots for us? Thanks!

No thanks. The premise that earlier manuscripts, undergoing fewer revisions-rewrites-copying is somehow less accurate is not logical. My BS meter is finely tuned these days and I am leery of anyone who requires such volume, 46-paragraphs, such quantity to obviously compensate for quality. This...

Of course socialism and communism are synonymous! The only difference is spelling.
