Is it right for a Christian to hold a Bible in one hand and a doobie in the other?

Did not...I say did not think you were defending it. Information is good....right?

Is it right for a Christian to hold a Bible in one hand and a doobie in the other?

What I am wanting here is a discussion, not condemnation. There are Christian denominations that have strong religious beliefs about alcohol. I have no problems with those religious beliefs, I worship and fellowship with a lot of people that have those beliefs. I understand how they get there...

Hey Marks, So what verse are you going to quote for Christians that are in the smoke pot? You think Christ would smoke pot? Why not?

Responding to Michael1985 statement....the question has been posed, is this a religious issue?

Is it right for a Christian to hold a Bible in one hand and a doobie in the other?

This is exactly what we need to talk about. I thank anyone that steps up to the plate and will give some honesty on this topic. So Michael, why is it not a religious issue?

Is it right for a Christian to hold a Bible in one hand and a doobie in the other?

Hamburger helper! That brings back memories. It kinda like the funny saying...Politicians promise the world and take a seat after they are elected. A lot a people looking for work get hired and sit down and stop looking for work. Some Christians think that once saved....and then they take a...

I am telling you the truth...no insult. You can look into it yourself.

Is it right for a Christian to hold a Bible in one hand and a doobie in the other?

You cannot read the Bible like it is the latest edition of the local Sunday Paper. Sometime remind me and we can get into the cultural and Christian aspects of the vineyard, grapevines, grapes and wine.

Are we too good to go drink with the people in the tavern? Why is it that, that belief does not fly with the Bible?

Is it right for a Christian to hold a Bible in one hand and a doobie in the other?

lol But the question is how do you balance pot smoking with the Bible. Most that try to explain this get defensive. Can you explain without getting defensive. What is your advise to other brothers and sisters concerning pot smoking?

Ya I know the group and thought process. Do you wear bell bottoms? lol If it natural it is good....quinine is natural...a natural poison. And you can say that coffee has a culture, but if we look at these two cultures there is big difference. We talk about smoking pot and people get defensive...

Is it right for a Christian to hold a Bible in one hand and a doobie in the other?

I have had a lot more experience with people that use drugs than I want. I am not out to change someone on the forum that takes drugs. I am not out to condemn them either. I will debate if it is a biblical practice. In that light what you and others have said in the defense of drugs, matters...

And I am kidding with you...kinda...and I am saying I respect people's beliefs...not criticizing you or what you said.

Well some say I am too violent, but it is effective, I have proven that. Tough love. A review of the Old Testament will teach a lesson in violence. Violence is not evil, it is the intent and reason for violence. Some of us spank our kids, some say that is violent. Did slapping my friend save a...

Is it right for a Christian to hold a Bible in one hand and a doobie in the other?

Right, alcohol and vehicles, each kills more people than pot, that is a fact. But the drug culture is a lot different. You are going to find a lot more casual drinkers that are not alcoholics than casual pot smokers that are not pot heads. Pot does that to you. You are going to pay that money...

Is it right for a Christian to hold a Bible in one hand and a doobie in the other?

I have a funny story about kidney stones. And when I was in the hospital for them I became a believer in intravenous demerol. I am talking water on the fire of pain. While I was in there one of my church kids was my nurse....(sprang up from 3 foot to 5.7...time flies.) Anyway, fresh out of...

Is it right for a Christian to hold a Bible in one hand and a doobie in the other?

This seems to be a legitimate question. I run into it more and more and I think it is one of many topics that fuels hatred because those that indulge in recreational pharmaceuticals are tired of being looked down at. They want society to accept them as drug abusers, as a norm. And of course this...
