Blotted out of The Book Of Life?

    1. Agree. 2. Agree. 3. Agree. You're very astute. We who love Jesus have a lot in common.

If We Protestants Truly Hated Catholics...

I find it interesting how other religions get more respect than Christianity. Maybe because Christianity is the most threatening? All of the above examples you posted show how Christianity is discriminated against. How does a government FORCE anyone to go against their religion? Muhammad Ali...

Blotted out of The Book Of Life?

LC, I also apologize if I didn't understand you. Was I a good person before I became a Christian? I don't think I'm a good person now. When I look at how holy God is, I realize we cannot be good. Even Jesus said that only our Father in heaven is good. Mark 10:18 But we have no relationship...

If We Protestants Truly Hated Catholics...

You won't get any argument from me! I was referring to moral standards in general, having to do with what society accepts. They have to stop protecting each other. They have to have their priesthood taken away. It has to be serious. Children are scarred for LIFE.

Are You Spirit Filled Or Still Filling?

This is right. This is what I like to say: We do our best, Jesus does the rest.

Are You Spirit Filled Or Still Filling?

Yes. I used to teach kids our faith and I always made sure to tell them not to compare themselves with anyone else since we each have a unique relationship with Jesus. I do my best to follow my own instructions!

Are You Spirit Filled Or Still Filling?

Hi BG, Why is @JesusIsFaithful wrong?? He didn't say anything wrong that I could see. We receive the Holy Spirit when we become born again. We are filled with the Holy Spirit who is God. We grow in knowledge and we grow in maturity in our serving Him, but we never get more filled than filled...

Are You Spirit Filled Or Still Filling?

I agree. How much more filled could one get than filled? I do wonder, though, at times what makes the difference between me and, let's say, Joan of Arc or St. Francis, or any other saint for that matter - those that went happily to their martyrdom in the beginning of Christianity... Those...

If We Protestants Truly Hated Catholics...

I've not attended every one of those churches, I just know what they believe. I've attended the Catholic Church and the Nazarene Church. BTW, how many people attend churches and don't even know what their churches believe?? Many.

If We Protestants Truly Hated Catholics...

I haven't lived in Tuscany all my life, as you know. Just recently. So, here are the denominations I'm familiar with: Catholic Nazarene Assembly of God Church of Christ Universalist Methodist Orthodox Reformed Churches (Calvinist) Which are: Presbytarian Reformed Baptist The Faith and...

    Why "LAW" =/= "OLD COVENANT"

Great post...very well explained. No covenant ever abolished the previous one. The Mosaic Covenant was conditional upon the obedience of Israel. The New Covenant is Unconditional but based on being a part of it. You must be IN IT and be a part of it. This does not abolish the necessity of...

If We Protestants Truly Hated Catholics...

HI Naomi, I'm not following your discussion with @epostle1 , I'd just like to make a comment on the above. What you say above is not accepted in the CC. Every priest must teach the same doctrine and convey these doctrine in lessons given to the congregation either in a homily or in a bible...

If We Protestants Truly Hated Catholics...

You said above: Where is the media when a Protestant minister does that??? (marries a SS couple) The CC is one of the churches that has held to its convictions through all of the change in the past 40 or 50 years. Maybe more is just expected from those who have higher moral values? SS couple...

    Life with 4 year olds.

I'm sorry I never started a "book" and just wrote down every little cute thing both my kids said when they were little. I think any book of that type would make a bestseller! And you FORGET! When my daughter was about 4 or 5 she used to call the Piazza Napoleone... Piazza Del Leone (the...

Blotted out of The Book Of Life?

LC, Just a couple of comments: First of all, if you read my post no. 419 carefully, you will find NOWHERE in that post was it stated by me that Jesus was born with a sin nature! How could God have a sin nature? How could you even think I would say that? If you notice, no one else even...

    Protestant Leaders and the pope

The Vatican is a rich country because of its assets. But if those assets can't be sold, it's like having a house worth 10 Million dollars, but no one will buy it. Money could corrupt. A cardinal in Rome has been found stealing money from the Vatican. I'm sure this could be found on google, I...

    The Kingdom of God

The word used for Kingdom is BASILEIA (Greek) = KINGDOM It denotes sovereignty and royal power. Jesus wished HIS sovereignty and HIS royal power to reign on earth. Beginning at our conversion, we become members of His Kingdom. It's unseen, but is experienced...like the wind.

    The Kingdom of God

Christian Spirituality doesn't require scripture. Theology and bible study do and apologetics... We're here just to talk and exchange our ideas in the spiritual realm. How about this? You are also right in that we are already seated with God...but perhaps Jesus came here to show us HOW to be...

    The Kingdom of God

Hi RB, The terms Kingdom of God and Kingdom of Heaven could be used interchangeably. They could also mean right here right now, and also the New Jerusalem of which Revelation 11:15 speaks. And the Kingdom of God is truly earthbound as we find in the Lord's Prayer. Your Kingdom Come Your will be...
