Not after Paul got to them!

You sure do love to speak about sinning. Philippians 4:8

Romans 9 is an exhortation to the Jews. Please see my post no. 273 for links. Those 3 chapters should have been a different letter.

Hi KG It used to be that those who served God were considered to be nice persons trying to please God. Today, we are the PROUD. Heaven forbid...! Those who do NOTHING feel they are serving God more than those who do something. Seems like everything is topsy turvy. Colossians 3:23-25...

Heb, 1. It doesn't matter WHO 2 Peter is speaking about... They were believers and then became unbelievers, They escaped defilements of the world. They had the knowledge of the Lord and SAVIOR Jesus They are AGAIN entangled in them and overcome. They knew the way of righteousness. They TURNED...

I would hope so. But faith only and easy believism are both affecting Christianity, and not for the better.

Thanks Nancy. It happens at times. Usually I'm good! :)

Paul speaks about persons that were saved and became lost. Jesus speaks about people accepting with joy the word of God and then losing their faith after temporarily believing for a while. 2 Peter 2:20 Luke 8:13 I'm of the opinion that we should listen to them and not those who preach incorrect...

I love Romans 10:13 The Gentiles obtained what Israel missed... Chapter 10 in Romans is speaking to this.

I truly wonder at times if people know what REPENT means. They say they know,,,but it doesn't sound like it at times. Repent means to change direction...to turn around and go the other way. Before we're born again we're headed straight for satan; no matter how "good" we are. After salvation...

All NT letters were written to all believers, except very few verses that were for Jews regarding eating certain foods, etc. AND Romans chapters 9 to 11 was specifically written explaining to the Jews God's salvation plan. Please see my post no. 273 with links. These chapters in Romans are not...

To me it's important because of comments I hear that it's not necessary to obey God or follow His commandments or do ANYTHING for Him at all because: 1. It takes the glory away from Him and puts it on us. As if anything could take the glory away from God. 2. It leads to a sinful life. This...

Listen to Steven Anderson sometime. And others... They clearly say we could continue to sin (one said all we want to) and still be saved.

I was speaking about Romans 9 to 11. Paul is going to explain to the Jews how the Christians are going to have a part in the salvation economy God planned from the beginning. Those reading along might be interested to read about these 3 chapters in Romans. Theologians explain the bible and...

@MattO Which heresies MO? Second request.

Absolutely. Here's an example, I'm going to use smoking because it involves all three, not because I think it's a sin although to some it might be. When God tells us to stop doing something, we usually do. So He might tell us to stop smoking... This is a matter of the Spirit, our connection...

Luke 16 is not a parable. True. And I just want to say that some believe man to be a dichotomy: Body Soul and Spirit combined OR Trichotomy Body Soul Spirit Both churches I learned from believed in the trichotomy of man...which would be the theologians of those churches.

I know persons that lost their faith and became atheists. I plan on sticking with God forever!

There is forgiveness of sins as long as you stay with God.

Which deception would that be?
