America Is Not A Christian Nation?

You must be posting in the wrong thread. This thread is about REAL Americans.

There is nothing wrong with honoring Christ in more than one way. Easter is honoring him closer to the way you’re talking about.

Seriously? More people come to Christ, talk about Jesus, give to charity in his name and go to church than any other time of year. Just last night, I went to a 4King and Country Christmas concert. 10,000 enthralled Christians praying, worshipping for 3 hours donating millions to sponsor...

    EXACTLY like celebrating birthdays!

Sure it does! The Bible clearly says if you do not do what your conscious is telling, it is a sin. The reverse is also true. This explains why John the Baptist did not drink but Jesus did. Appropriation is from appropriate. Doing what is appropriate is not a sin. The JW rules are stifling. The...

Celebrating, honoring a person is no kind of worship. I don’t know why you cannot understand that.

@Aunty Jane, one more thing. Where in Scripture does it say celebrating birthdays is demonic?

Aren’t you the one who was lecturing about not going by feelings? For some reason, you are equating or connecting things that are only connected by history. The cross WAS a tool of torture but Christian’s do not use that symbol to honor torture tools. It has taken on new meaning. If you ask...

Wrong. I totally see. What WAS is not what IS. You are turning a blind eye to cultural appropriation. The swatstika WAS in a different culture a symbol that means peace. People in the West no longer connect that meaning to that symbol. Same with the Confederate flag. Same with birthday...

There you go again, confusing a cultural tradition with a false religious practice.

You turning older has nothing to do with what year this is. Celebrating people’s birthday’s has nothing to do with worship - in our culture.

You are relying on Old Covenant rules that never applied to Gentiles. In our culture, we honor people by celebrating their birthday.

The question of what year it is has everything to do with celebrating birthdays. And you know it.

What year is it? It’s telling that you cannot answer such a simple question. Celebrating someone’s birthday is not prohibited in Scripture and has nothing to do with false religion.

    I don't understand Romans 9 anymore

Maybe another translation will make sense. 22 In the same way, even though God has the right to show his anger and his power, he is very patient with those on whom his anger falls, who are destined for destruction. 23 He does this to make the riches of his glory shine even brighter on those to...

No. It’s the consequence of cultural appropriation. Why do you think it is important to separate celebrations?

Old covenant does not apply to Gentiles.

Wow! Never read Ex 3:15 huh? God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: Yahweh,[a] the God of your ancestors—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you. This is my eternal name, my name to remember for all generations.

I see you ask questions but do not answer them. Just because it was not done in ancient cultures does mean it is prohibited under the new covenant.

Yet, in the very next verse God said his name was YHWH, to be remembered for all generations. God did not say his name was "I am that I am", only a unique attribute - eternally existing. The same cannot be said of sons, who by definition come after and are created by their fathers.
