Why not? The Prodigal son came back. Where does God say I can't come back? I will say this: If one leaves his faith behind it probably is difficult to come back to God. It seems that those who do leave do not come back. If we want to say that someone cannot lose their salvation, then we must...

Make believe I'm a different person? We'll have to agree to eternally disagree! :)

Could you explain to me how the bible could call the papacy the AntiChrist when Protestantism itself insists that there was no such person as the pope in that time. Also, the bible explains what the AntiChrist is: 1 John 2:22

Rollo, There's no such thing as works salvation. I don't know anybody on this forum that believes in works saving them. God does want us to do good works AFTER we're saved...He certainly doesn't want us to do evil works. Salvation has always been based on faith. Even in the O.T. -- you know...

I believe a person can lose their salvation. If they return to a life of sin the Holy Spirit cannot dwell within them. They are free to do so. Belief in free will is very important to Christianity. If a person abandons God, for whatever reason, they have lost their faith and they have lost...

I make the final call. I believe in free will, which you don't. Your God makes you THINK you have free will because He conforms it to what HE wants. I am truly free. Free to love Him or free not to love Him. How satisfying would a woman's love be for you if YOU made her love you? Not very...

Are you saying that persons who do not believe in eternal security are not sure of their salvation?? What are you saying?

LOL Nothing to learn from you MJ. Why worry about souls in Africa when you're not even worried about souls right here in the US, Canada, Europe, or anywhere where there are many churches? Anyway, God will decide who is to be saved and who is to be tormented in hell forever. Some love Some grace...

I said that every letter tells us how we are to comport ourselves as "good" Christians: Romans 13:8-13 1 Corinthians 5:9-12 2 Corinthians 13:10-11 Galatians 5:17-21 Ephesians 5:1-6 etc etc This is precisely because it's possible to fall away. See 1 Corinthians 6:9. Paul tells the Corinthians...

HR, How does a person have two natures? We have one nature...it is a sinful nature. Some call it the flesh and some call it the sin (or sinful) nature. Before coming to God we tend toward evil. Our nature is in sin and is in bondage to satan. This is why some believe in the spiritual...

Mathew Henry. Right. Wait...let me go get a commentator that agrees with MY church. As to the highlighted above...I'd like to ask you what you think happens to a person living in the deep forests of South America that never heard of Jesus since He is the way, as you've stated, and as...

By the mind, I would safely assume you mean our will or our soul. Our soul is not a good controller of our sin nature. The law was not to control our sin nature, but to let us know we had one. Romans 7:7-12 7What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not...

Never is a long time. We'll see...

OK We're even. Now leave me alone!

I just got mine before. The one about: Has Anyone Else Noticed?

It's been happening all the time BG. It's on every forum. Sometimes you get to the bottom of a page and have to go to "next"....and sometimes it just asks you if you want to view more posts. We do need to pay attention to this or we could miss even 20 posts or more.

Yes, it DID work. Sorry about the other answer...

I didn't. Post the thread...

Watch your mouth! Here's a bikini for ya...
