Struggling to Wait on God for direction

We all do. I used to think "God's speed" meant as fast as possible. Sadly, this is not the case. My wife and I often lament that Jesus has not already returned. If it were up to me/us, the end would already be here. I'll pray for you.

    The One Baptism

Agreed. "Born of Water" refers to normal child birth, where the beginning of labor is closely tied to 'the water breaking.' Being born of water is not the same as baptism, which symbolizes death of the old life (going under water) and the emergence of the new life (coming up from the water).

    Are Jehovah's witnesses real Christians?

Wow! What an exchange. I agree with Marks; Jesus was recurrected bodily and that is our hope for our inheritance.

    Difference between Catholic and Protestant.

You do love to invoke the mocking spirit with your constant use of 'kiddo.' Do you suppose it is endearing? Guess what? Protestants don't want supremacy over God's children. We don't desire usurping Christ's role on Earth as being our head. Not as you define the church. The church is not the...

How do you do bible study?

Oy vey! Jesus is our lord, not our God. Our only God is the Father. See 1 COR 8:6 Jesus did not teach us to pray to him. So, why are you? He taught us to pray to God, to our Father.

    The One Baptism

Yes, you hijacked it. You may have been invited for discussion, not hijacking. But if it'll make you feel better, I am sorry. I am often sorry when I read your posts and sorrier when I get a reply from you about your posts.

    Are Jehovah's witnesses real Christians?

It matters to the question of whether or not they are Christian?

    Gnosticism

Word play. I did not talk about when the Apostolic writings were complete. Everyone knows the Bible, such as we know it today, was not compiled until centuries after the last writings contained in it. Therefore, Christians lived for centuries before the Bible was even compiled. According to...

    Gnosticism

Again, irrelevant to the point. Let me put it this way; yes, knowledge is important but not the PURPOSE of Christianity. Regarding being equipped, one sermon I heard stated that God does not call the qualified; he qualifies the called. If you are relying on your own knowledge, equiping yourself...

Is it possible to get my faith back?

Precious child. Read the parable of Pharisee and the Publican in Luke 18:9-14. Isn't it enough that your heavenly Father wants a relationship with you for you to pray without ceasing? Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually! 1 Chronicles 16:11 Praying at all times in...

    Are Jehovah's witnesses real Christians?

False dichotomy. You obviously are contriving a rational for why Jesus is not a man, when the Bible repeatedly and specifically states he is a man. A is A. If he is a man, then he is a man - just like all other men OR he is not a man, not withstanding your attempts to make him man+. If what you...

    Question For JW's

The definition of prejudicial. JW = bad. non-JW = good. The important question is not who opened your eyes to the truth. The more important question is, is it true. Is it true that God's personal name was removed from the Bible in most translations?

    Are Jehovah's witnesses real Christians?

Not really relevant to the question is it? Just because the Amish, Menonites and JW, etc have different customers does not mean they are not Christians, does it?

Looking for Jesus according to Luke

Scripture does not once make the claim that Jesus is God the Son. This is a converse of what Scripture DOES say, that Jesus is the Son of God. Converses are not synonyms. The claim that Jesus gave up so much is specious. For instance, I lost my tactical pen. This means, by definition, I do not...

    Question For JW's

Really? Afraid to do independent research? WHY IS GOD’S NAME MISSING FROM MANY BIBLES ? Have you never read the intro of your own Bible? Mine says they decided to replace YHWH with LORD (capital). Thing is, lord is a title, like mister and not a personal name. "Father" is a relational name and...

    Question For JW's

Are the JW's right about anything? Is your Bible (translation) wrong about anything? For instance, they taught me most translations removed God's personal name from the Bible some 7,000 times. Doesn't that disturb you at all? If you wrote a book, would it disturb you if your name was removed...

    Are Jehovah's witnesses real Christians?

Wait a minute Learner! @Robert Gwin brought up a verse. You have no comment on his verse? All you can do is invoke the strategy of pushing aside his verse off the table and put your own on the table - with no comment - AS IF copying and pasting Scripture makes your argument? It should not be...
