Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

I'm sorry to say Taken that I find it very difficult to speak to you. So, I'll say only this: Your idea about hearing, believing, but we're still not saved, it takes another step toward Jesus... 1. HOW were persons saved in the Old Testament BEFORE Jesus was incarnated? At what point was...

You're also teaching your kids not to trust anybody. I don't live there so I should mind my own business, but I always taught my kids very strong rules, but it did not include not trusting ANYBODY. Just a thought.

I first believed and was saved together. About 28. Would you like to know why I trust my faith? Jesus came to me in a real way. But then many years pass and one might doubt. I don't doubt because I know upon what I place my trust. It can't be Jesus since we know him by His first appearance...

Which witnessing do you mean? Ours? I think Jesus is always talking to us...

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

You yourself said that Judas HAD to betray Jesus in order to fulfill scripture. That would be how I reconcile my idea. Anyway, it's not my idea. (6) John 17 contains the prayer uttered by the Lord en route to Gethsemane. The prayer falls into three sections: (a) a petition for himself (vv...

Yes. I certainly know what they are called. Such a bad word these days. As for the Samaritan --- Did Jesus mean only to teach us that even the Samaritans were better than those priests and pharisees that talked the talk but didn't walk the walk. Jesus not only expects us to talk and witness...

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

Sometimes logic is good. It makes no sense for Jesus to send a devil out to preach to unbelievers and try to get them converted. A house against itself will not stand. Mark 3:24-25 Also, Jesus did not know everything when He was a human. Only what the Father wanted Him to know. If Mathew 24:36...

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

You don't think our faith is a faith of reason? Maybe you don't know what I mean. What do you base YOUR faith on? Did Jesus come to you in person one day? Did you hear someone say something nice about Christianity? You heard the word and believed it? OK. BUT, how do you know it's all true??

This is true. I got saved without instruction so I don't think you need instruction to GET SAVED. But you do have to understand and know our faith in order to STAY saved. Good way of putting this.

I agree with much of what you say. I went to two different churches so I don't really fall into any of your categories. I studied a lot and read the N.T. and it seems to me that I've come to the truth. Of course we can disagree, but at least my faith is based on my understanding. So here's...

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

I understand you Taken. But I don't agree. I've never heard of this concept that you expound. One either believes in Jesus or does not. You make it seem like a gradual process (which it could be in some cases), but faith is faith. You either have it or you don't. As far as being logical...

Why with a man telling you what to believe?? I've heard many pastors or preachers, I don't agree with all of them. It's good to have some trusted theologian help us along. It keeps us on the straight and narrow. Literally.

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

Tell me this Stranger... In Mathew 10 Jesus sends out the twelve. Why would He send out a devil to preach the gospel? Just logically this makes no sense...Jesus would have held him back from this mission. Jesus did not know everything as a man. He did, however, become aware of judas' role in...

    Health Laws

Sure I wear them. In the winter if it ever gets cold enough, which ain't often. But I don't know what this expression means,,,but it sounds nice. But a little sarcastic too. BG, we only know what we know. Till God doesn't show us, it does no good. Till then, we're OK. He knows how dumb and...

    Health Laws

I know this BG. I used to teach the Mosaic Covenant. What more can i say? I know all about how the LAW could not be kept. However, I do not agree with you that Jesus said anything to show us we could not do it. I do hear this these days. Whatever Jesus said, He was not wasting His breath...

Don't think you got it yet BG. But I won't bud in. I'll just say this: To be UNDER THE LAW, means to be under all those laws that Moses demanded the people follow. Some were from God and some weren't. The Law determined whether or not you were righteous. People in the O.T. were righteous of...

    Health Laws

Nine of the Ten because we don't keep the Sabbath. As to keeping the laws, I see it like this: Mathew 16:24 NASB Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. So whatever that cross may be: Caring for a sick...
