If your hand is cut off. can you work to your full potential If your feet are removed. Can you work to your full potential? if you lose a lung...... This is talking about the body of Christ. Not individual people. The hand is a person. The big toe is a person. The heart is a person.. all...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

I am sorry, I am just not seeing the connection Paul is talking about the body of christ. All members of the body are one body. We are baptized into that Body by God himself. He is saying that if we take one part of the body away, the body can not work to its full potential.. God has given...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

That passage is about the body of Christ. Each member being fitted as one body. No one is more important than the other. The janitor is just as important as the pastor. Of course. Christ is the head. its not talking about a physical body a person or idols.. Thats why I asked

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

are you talking about the parts of the body, with Christ as the head? Like here? 1 Corinthians 12:15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? I just want to make sure I understand..

I am just trying to share with you something I think you are missing. Like I believe you are us.. I am not assuming the worse in anything and I pray you do not think this. Believe it or not. I do care for you. You have been kind and social in our interactions.. And seem to be open..

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

If your not born again, You will have no access to the kingdom of God. Thats what Jesus told Nicodemus. He also told him how to be born again. Let listen to jesus. and not make up our own gospel.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

The inner man can only be healed if it is regenerated. or born again. It is God who is in us that heals us from the need of the outer man or flesh and takes away its power over us. If the inner man is still dead because of sin. It can not help the outer man.. the flesh will still have full control

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

They would still have to pay for their committed sins and future sins.. Repenting of a particular sin will not cause God to forgive you. Thats what the cross was for. Now we are to confess our sins, to God and our brothers and sisters (namely our fellow disciple) so we do not keep that sin...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

the wage (penalty of sin) is death. the gift of God is life being saved from the POWER of sin, does not save you from the WAGE of sin
