Not so! What book did Elijah carry with him when he withstood the 400 prophets of Baal? Lots of people today do read their Bibles and disagree with one another. The deciding factor is what God thinks without regard to whether both parties to a scriptural question are in error or not. It is the...

Indeed and what if this gentile woman had been so sensitive to the words of Jesus when he effectively called her a dog? "But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their...

@GodsGrace Carry on with Him! Is anything good to found in Italy?

If you are meaning my Bible, the answer is, yes! As for me I just getting older and weaker in the flesh, but at 75 what should I expect? Give God the glory!

@GodsGrace Welcome! It has been a while since we've seen you around here.

Aye and let us also pray that God will touch the hearts and minds of anyone who would who come against children.

I hear you Nancy and understand. I search and have searched in my local area without success for a place where people like those you seek may be found. Remember that of the 600,000 adults excluding women and children led by Moses out of Egypt only two were not to die in the wilderness. Only two...

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Rom 8:28

Very good my friend! What occurs to me here, is that even those original names, when we know them and/or speak them does not necessarily put us "IN the name" as Jesus meant it here: "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matt 18:20 For...

We are not disagreeing on this. When anyone believes that by study alone of the written scriptures he can find God's Truth, he has missed something important... the breathe of Life. You added it with these words, "illumined by His Spirit" which made the difference. Without the Holy Spirit there...

"If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable." I Cor 15:19

The children of Israel limited God and we according to our choices are also able to limit Him. This is what men call "free will". If we open our hearts and surrender ourselves completely to Him, His ability to work within us is unlimited... but we do have the ability to choose mammon rather than...

Where we would probably differ is in the determination of "objective" truth and what His revealed Word would be. The "no error" result in the things of God would not, as I see it, and cannot come through the objectiveness of a man's search even through the scriptures without the lead of the...

And I believe I answered them honestly. Sorry if I unnecessarily offended. I have never heard a "holiness perfectibility movement" so I cannot say anything about them one way or the other. All of I did was cited scripture and my personal understanding or belief about it. I will say as I...

My final point was simply that if we definitely always right, both of us, then how often would we ever disagree? In other words on some things where we believe we are right we may well be in error. I have a solution for that apparent quandary but likely you do as well. We really do need to...

Don't put words into my mouth rather read what the scripture say with understanding: I quoted the scripture in Revelation written to one of the seven churches, but which was worded in such a way that it should apply to each person who reads it or hears it. No where does God call us to be...

@prism Praise the Lord for your time spent with Him. I am glad that you always recognize His voice and hopefully pay close attention when you do. If we really are in any measure really believers in God and His Son, there some things we really do know and some things we only believe that...

I thank you for your effort, but what Jesus did was open the Way that had been closed since Adam and Eve were placed outside the Garden in Eden. He did that with his sacrifice on the cross, but he overcame the world before that. He says that he overcame the world at the end of chapter 16 of the...

You did not answer my question. If you don't know that's OK but if you know and are willing to answer I would certainly like to hear.

What "world" was it that Jesus overcame? Did he not then have dominion over the world that he overcame? He certainly did not overcome planet Earth, did he?
