And... should we not really give God the glory every day simply because we love Him?

"And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself." Mark 3:21

This is, I believe, a frequent thing among those who believe and read and search the scriptures. Many times when seeking one thing God will respond to me with something complete new or the answer to a question I could never find when I was specifically looking for it. I have over the years heard...

And sometimes some of us [did I mention my name?] may forget things that we did comprehend, but now that we have forgotten them we cannot say for sure. On a more serious note, I am unable to quote many scriptures. When I was younger a lot of it stuck from all of the reading I was doing but when...

Well this is how it really is, isn't it? Does the same mind work for the new man as for the old man? I might at the first say, no, but then... "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:" Phil 2:5 Is that speaking of a mind replacement or simply a second new mind? But then when...

When I was a young Catholic [mostly in the 1950's] I was certain that only Catholics had it correct about God but then I changed my mind. When I was a Oneness Jesus Only several years later I again thought that this was the place, but then I changed my mind again. This happened at least one more...

You and I and all of the rest of us are "good" at coming to conclusions. Have any of us ever changed our mind? But then God... "For I am the LORD, I change not..." Mal 3:6

"Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding." Job 38:4 "Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last. Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the...

"I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee." Psalm 2:7

A good question indeed! Was Moses called to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt? Was Moses told to "lead" in the following verse or does "bring forth" mean something else? "Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel...

Very good! The Acts 8 reference is a strong message from God against a favorite doctrine of many but who has read it and understood it?

Understood and agreed.

People do mix up what is good with what is evil. "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Isaiah 5:20 Jesus said what? "... Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one...

If the one who leads us is anyone else but God is not our goal that ditch? "O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps." Jerem 10:23 In other words every man directing himself is really blind even though he may believe that he can...

You simply said, "Protestants" which sounded very comprehensive as if every one under the Protestant banner would be included. Sorry if I misunderstood your meaning. Are you saying then that refusal to believe something carefully explained is equal to a lack of faith? When they walked away from...

This brings us back to where the devil dwells, doesn't it?

@bbyrd009 These days some have prepared plans including how much to eat as well as a proper balance of all the things that someone has decided are proper. Too little or too much of certain things can cause problems with a person's physical body. Can a person have too much of God? Actually I...

"...but he that endureth to the end shall be saved." Matt 10:22

Indeed, the key is that in spite of a stumble, we never quit.

People's point of views may indeed be seen in the scriptures and they have shown me over the years on this and other forums. I would guess that what I call study and what you call study are not precisely the same. I study the scriptures themselves more than anything else using references...
