    Should Priests Get Married?

And as far as I know - EVERY Protestant denomination claims to have moral integrity as well - so why would the Catholic Church be held to a higher standard - by anti-Catholics??

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

Then, why did you tell me that you had NO interest?? Why the hypocrisy?? Yo're all over the map on this . . .

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

Yup - IF you understand the context. Context has been your problem all along. Scripture cannot contradict itself, so in order for this verse to be true in ALL cases - you would have to delete the following verses of Scripture from your Bible which were ALL written to born again CHRISTIANS...

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

Great verses - but NOT sure why you sent them to me as a response because they have NOTHING to do with your past post. Stick to the conversation at hand - or start a NEW thread . . .

The likeness of God on his throne

Ezekiel - and other - spooke in anthropomorphisms. This is a word that means that humans give tangible, physical attributes to God because of our limited understanding of the spiritual realm. There are other verses in Scripture that say God has "Wings" (Psalm 91:4) and "Nostrils" (Exod. 15:8)...

    Should Priests Get Married?

How could "more" be expected of the Catholic Church from comments made by people who have NO respect for it in the first place? I could understand why Catholics would expect more from the Catholic Church - but not from anti-Catholics.

    Should Priests Get Married?

Matt. 19:12 For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it.”

    Are you catholic?

My mother is older than YOU are and she was raised as a Bible-reading Catholic. As to your question - YES, I do think that you weren't paying attention or you would never have abandoned your faith. EVERY ex-Catholic I've even met left because of ignorance of what the Church teaches. You later...

    Are you catholic?

Where is a "Romanist" church in the US? I've never been to one. What do they teach?

    Are you catholic?

I was never "forced" to do any of those things. I was raised by Catholic parents who were well-catechised in their faith. People like YOU and Grams cowardly blame everything on other people. Take some responsibility for yourselves. It's really pathetic . . .

    Should Priests Get Married?

I see you've been reading those moronic Jack Chick tracts again. Get educated . . .

    Should Priests Get Married?

More ignorant drivel. Both Jesus AND Paul recommended celibacy as a more excellent way to serve God. What would you say to them??

    Should Priests Get Married?

This is the kind of post that never ceases to amaze me because of it's abject ignorance of the problem. The child abuse scandal isn't a "Catholic" problem - but a worldwide problem within Christianity - PERIOD. The fact is that the problem is WORSE in Protestant churches where the ministers are...

    Should Priests Get Married?

Actually - that is incorrect. In 1 Cor 7:37-40 Paul explains that to be celibate is a more excellent way to serve God than being married. Anyway - priestly celibacy is NOT a matter of doctrine. It is simply a discipline that CAN theoretically change, although I doubt it will.

    Should Priests Get Married?

Notice that Paul NEVER says that a Bishop must be married. Only that if he IS married - that he should only have ONE wife. He was preaching to a world that embraced polygamy (multiple spouses).

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

If by "carnal" you mean Scripturally sound evidence that obliterates your position - I agree . . .

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

And yet you STILL came to a conclusion based on your own opinion rather than Scripture. Not a very obedient little Sola Scripturist . . .

No - HISTORY, period. you're ignorant of History. And, if it is of "no interest" to you - then WHY ask me about it, my ignorant, hypocritical friend??

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. This is why I LOVE debating with you - because you are SO...

The likeness of God on his throne

God is SPIRIT (John 4:24). "A spirit has NOT flesh and bones" (Luke 24:39). Being made in His "image" does NOT mean that he has a humanlike form. It means that we have a reasoning mind and intellect - unlike the animals. It has NOTHING to do with our physical bodies . . .
