How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

A house church set by itself is not biblical While yes the early church had teachers. they also had deacons, Apostles. Bishops etc etc. A church in the city (ie the churches of rome) had many house churhces. all under leaders within the city.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

amen thats why you come in love, not fear. To many think if you believe this you are ignoring sin, you are condoning sin. You are licentious or whatever. Yet that is what the bible says to do.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

No church should come to a non believer and judge them, They should be shown love. Far to many churches tell people they need to stop their sin first. THEN come and we can talk about how to be saved. This is backwards. Now as far as church discipline? That's a different subject. and scripture...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

When Jesus told John to come up. He took him up and showed him prophecy of things which would come.. Thats not a higher walk. He just took him up. Like he took paul up.. And paul saw things he could not comprehend.. walking with the spirit is that. You are walking in a way you are being led...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

I think the issue here is HOW one interprets perfect. Some in here think it means you are sinless..and promote it Some in here think it means mature, and as we grow in Christ, we should grow more mature (perfect) as we are progressively sanctified Some think there is no progressive...

A Test Of Reading Comprehension and Honesty

You are misrepresenting Dan, You should stop trying to think you know what people teach. I have known Dan for years. And he never said what you claimed he did in another thread. Repentance and faith is a work of God. It is not our work, it is God working in us Water baptism is a work of...

Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

Any work you do which you are doing to save yourself is a work. Water baptism is a work of righteousness Giving to the church is a work of Righteousness etc etc etc if we are doing these things to get saved, they are filthy rags if we are doing them because we are saved. Then they bear fruit.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

No I did no such thing I know what works are. I know that Paul called jews fools because they tried to add circumcision to the gospel of grace and said they taught a false gospel. and should be anathema That is no different than what you are doing. Both circumcision and water baptism SYMBOLIZE...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

2 tim 2: Study to show yourself approved a workman that needs not be ashamed, Rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 tim 3: 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [c]instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God...

Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

it does not matter, It w3as water baptism. And it was water baptism concerning the comming of the new covenant. It was not according to the old covenant. Your question is nonsensical. because it does nto solve the issue. You will never believe works saves? yet you preach the WORK of water...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

you my friend are a false accuser I called out an issue that many churches are having. Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

I did answer your question No one in the OT was saved by water baptism No one in the NT is saved by water baptism. Stop trying to attribute the work of God in spirit baptism to your pastor. And stop teaching faith plus works for salvation

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

so when a church is judging a person instead of coming alongside them to help them with sin is that not wrong? And am I in error when I call out the truth of what is happening? Is y9our church like this? Is this why you are being defensive?
