Why is asking Mary to pray for us different than this verse of scripture? "Brethren, pray for us." I Thess 5:25 Do we not presume that the mother of Jesus still lives... that she was saved and now will never die? Therefore are those who are not with us walking in the flesh on planet Earth...

"Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts." Prov 21:2

Is the son of man also the Son of God? Is Jesus both? Did Jesus die? "And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God." Mark 15:39 "In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that...

Well never having been in one of their offices I have no experience with that part of it, but I did speak of one of the US Senators from Oklahoma on the phone and he was in his office in Oklahoma while Congress was not in session. I was working for Social Security so it was official business on...

Whether there is to be one or not [a physical rapture] focusing on it too much rather than on more important things [what are those?] will likely get some into trouble with God.

But... to be fair it is likely that Congressional people work additional hours on business related issues when Congress is not in session.

No, rather on what God wants all of us to understand!

The primary thrust of the thread is where @charity placed it in her post #20 which [copied above] looks at man's external history rather than the beast that men are to which I spoke about in post #14 [copied above]. @bbyrd009 in his post #21 [copied above] provided one definition of the word...

I hear what you are saying and in one sense you certainly could be correct. However with Emmanuel you have a very positive name, "God with us" of an always very positive person whose name in the gospels, Jesus, also has a very positive meaning: "Jehovah with us". With Jacob, his original name...

Welcome to the club!

Other than to say I've been here, I won't.

I should hope by now that you know that was not my intent. You are altogether too sensitive. I am not Jesus, and neither is anyone else on this forum so we do sometimes fail to say things as nicely as we might. If you are going to stop the conversation every time it seems to you that some one...

I don't believe I have used 'taunts' against you. Perhaps you should check the definition of the word. I could name more than one real person today in answer to your question, but I refuse to do that for reasons already given. Now we shall see if you will keep your pledge of "no more...

What was the sign of Jonah? "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." Matt 12:40 You already have the sign and yet you demand more. Do you not believe Jesus already did what he said...

You know that it was for you said: "And especially when there is such a strong push that all that is over?" A strong push from people with whom you already agree as opposed to even trying to hear what God says about it.

Why do you play word games with this as if the tense made a difference. Yes, even as He "gave" gifts which will remain in until that which is perfect is come: "For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away." I...

No one is going to provide you with more proof than Jesus gave the Jewish leadership and for the same reasons.

Yes, that is a good one, but without the Holy Spirit, where is the Word of God? Don't tell me in the Bible, because if the Word of God is not in a man's heart, how can he hear God's voice? Only His sheep hear His voice.

Is not the following located also in what you call God's Word? "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:" Eph 4:11-12 Since the...

All of them here are finally and completely saved including you? I guess I missed that... or maybe I did not believe that all of these people along with Paul had already finished their course, and that all of them already seeing Him "face to face". LOL I did say you did not have to respond to...
