    The necessity of the Trinity

I do not believe in just any old Christ. I am doubtful about a number of things other men have concluded to be truth. When I am in doubt I strive to leave them effectively on the shelf until I have been give good reason to do otherwise.

    The necessity of the Trinity

My friend I believe in God and I believe in His Son, Jesus as the one sent as Redeemer. Why does that necessitate a believe in a trinity? Why is belief in a trinity necessary?

    The necessity of the Trinity

I have been looking at it for a great many years and speaking to people about it for those years. I still have no revelation that the trinity is a necessary truth according to God.

    The necessity of the Trinity

But who drew that conclusion deciding it was a must? If God did, where is it so definitely confirmed in the written scriptures?

    The necessity of the Trinity

He has never revealed Himself to me as a trinity. Without a revelation of it on what basis should I embrace it? Because you embrace it? Because Catholics embrace it? Because many Protestants groups embrace it? Should we go back to what Moses taught? Did not he believe in the same God as Jesus...

    The necessity of the Trinity

If they are heresies they certainly are dangerous, but who decides ultimately what is heresy and what is truth?

    The necessity of the Trinity

Doubting or even disbelieving in a trinity does not necessitate a disbelief in Jesus and the reason he was sent.

    The necessity of the Trinity

No, God will not lead a person astray but after so many years as first a trinitarian and then as Oneness Jesus only and then from 1987 until now as outside both of those areas, I disagree with your conclusion which appears to be a man's conclusion not even based on a logical understanding of all...

    The necessity of the Trinity

A core belief without a doubt to many but certainly not because of the nice diagram you displayed here. If by core belief, you mean it is essential, then why is it not so stated as being essential in the scriptures? The first verse you cited confirms the oneness of God. The second one does not...

Jehovah witness and by default Bible Students

All of us, until God has lifted us up belong on the very bottom... if we have a place at all. We were all dead and to presume we are better than a Mormon or a JW or a Catholic or a Muslim or a Methodist or a Baptist or a Pentecostal or a devil is very simply presumptuous on our part. Give God...

    42. Are We Free to Ignore God's Law if We are "Under Grace"?

This is certainly right as we grow in and toward Him... Give God the glory!

When is 'Speaking in Tongues', true versus false.

I won't argue with your experience for it is yours, but of course what can I do but go along with my own and hopefully what God has shown me. To the extent that each of us is going along with God's we are both right. But of course we must remember who the Director needs to be at all times: "O...

    42. Are We Free to Ignore God's Law if We are "Under Grace"?

"And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man." Luke 2:52 "He must increase, but I must decrease." John 3:30 "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we...

The Great Historic Revivals and What Triggered Them

You refer to the "church" as if it were a group readily recognized by even the unbelievers all around us. The "Church" is the Body of Christ which is the group of people actually in subjection to the Head which is Jesus without regard for any specific physical connection they may or may nor have...

    Christians language.

What comes from our heart out of our mouth is the determinant, I would guess. We can take words that understood alone by almost anyone as being "clean" and make them by our purpose and meaning be profane before God. For example: "That person has no business being here!" How difficult is it for...

When is 'Speaking in Tongues', true versus false.

Always it seems you are speaking of "theirs" and leave it as if "yours" on the other hand must be God's. my point is that there are some Pentecostals who are following Jesus and will make to the end with God because they are into "His". Similarly there are some Catholics who are following Jesus...

    Conversion after death

The truth is also seen in these verses: "And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead" Luke 16:30-31

When is 'Speaking in Tongues', true versus false.

Again you are generalizing according to your own established conclusions. You speak of Pentecostalism and while I do understand, I believe, your meaning and your complaint, yet you are again lumping a lot of people together into some shared or common some evil with no inkling of God [no vision]...

You Know You're Getting Old When...

Not this one! When I sleep with my bipap I sleep well but when I wake I wake to move forward even though the darkness tells me I should still be sleeping. My sleep is likely to be in bits and pieces! [I am 75.]

When is 'Speaking in Tongues', true versus false.

The "entire church"... that is the entire real Church consists of all the various parts of the Body of Christ [I Cor 12:12]. They when they are where they need to be according to God will directly be subject to the Head which is Jesus rather than any ministers who have strayed from their calling...
