The Essenes were great and thank God for them, but no real part of Christianity. The more you know about the culture the more all this makes sense. Christ was accused more than once of hanging out with the drinkers. It is a culture thing....what else did they have to drink.

Don't let atpollard fool ya @JohnPaul. But he does have a good suggestion...look it up. Look it up and find what they believe god has predestined for man. In their religion judgement of a man occurs before he is born. Look it up and see if they believe those that are going to hell had a choice...

Are you shooting from the hip there lol...Not talking about the quality of the Apostle's teaching....I am talking about the people that stood in front of Christ and the early ministries of the Apostles...even before Paul. The message given to them was very simple and still they could be saved.
