Hi Mary - What I wrote was mainly for Stranger's benefit. However, there was one thing that you said which needed correcting. You said: "When Mary gave birth to him she gave birth to the man portion of God/man. She could not have given birth to the God part of Jesus." This is the heresy of...

Why is that? Are you saying that Jesus couldn't save her?? That's heresy.

Sure there is: "Kecharitomene". Linguist, YOU ain't . . .

    And again - denial ain't just a river in Egypt . . .
  5. BreadOfLife

    Christian Superstition

That's unfortunate for YOU. God doesn't approve of disobedience. Anyway - if you believe that the blood of Christ is no better than the blood of an animal - good luck telling HIM that when you are judged . . .

And therein lies the tragedy of moral relativism . . .

WHY do these passages forbid the consuming of blood? Because it contains the LIFE of the animal. Jesus states emphatically that unless WE eat His flesh and drink His blood - we have NO LIFE within us. He is the ONLY one whose blood gives us life. HIS blood profits us everything.

    The Inquisitions

Satan and his angels were thrown out of Heaven before Adam was created. This was the start of evil. As for the New Jerusalem - it is HEAVEN, which comes OUT of the current Heaven.. Read the first verse of this chapter: Rev. 21:1 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven...

There is no record of Mary being baptized in Scripture or in any extrabiblical source that I know of. I'm sure she was, being the obedient handmaiden of the Lord.

Nobody "attacked" her. She made a comment and I held her accountable for it. BIG difference.

Change to the Eucharist?? Nope. First of all - the priest doesn't drink "wine" during communion but the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ. As for the accidents of bread of wine - the body, blood, soul and divinity of Christ is present in BOTH species.

    Christian Superstition

ALL Protestants follow the traditions and precepts of mere men. Every single one.

    The Inquisitions

Born into a Catholic Family and baptized as an infant. What we refer to as "Cradle Catholic."
  14. BreadOfLife

    The Inquisitions

Rev. 21:27 proves it. NOTHING unclean can enter Heaven.

Where have you been?? You're about 5 days late to this conversation. I have stated over and over and over that Mary needed Jesus to be saved. Why would you think any differently??
  16. BreadOfLife

    Co- Redemptrix

Because this is typical of anti-Catholics.
  17. BreadOfLife

    Co- Redemptrix

No - the comparison was simply to show you that God doesn't work in OUR time - because He is outside of time. Jesus's Eternal sacrifice was applied to Mary before she was born. Not that complicated, Stranger . . .
  18. BreadOfLife

    Co- Redemptrix

It absolutely does. You cannot be "perfected" in grace unless you are sinless. This is the condition people in Heaven are in - perfected in God's grace, just like Mary.
  19. BreadOfLife

Moses, Abraham and Isaiah lived and died BEFORE Jesus yet they were saved BY Jesus. Same with Mary.

Sorry, dude - Luke 1:28 says she was "Kecharitomene". It means: “completely, perfectly, enduringly endowed with grace.” It indicates a completed action with permanent result.
