    Progressive Christians

Such simplicity reigns I would guess in many people who want the blessings of God but refuse to give up the curses in order to receive them; "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will...

    Rome

Did you miss the apparent effort to streamline it all in another place by doing away with any unwanted unborn children right up to the point they are about to see the light. Could this also be counted by some, or intended by some, to be a purposeful decimation of that potential portion of the...

    Progressive Christians

Thanks, I do appreciate the heads up. I guess I would first have to read and understand what a "progressive Christian" is to even begin to understand. My mind soaks too slowly so I'll leave it alone until someone simply says what it is supposed to be... if then.

    The Tribulation Calamity Events ??

That sounds like 3/3 of the whole to me! [past=1/3, present=1/3, And future= 1/3]. Are my fractions correct?

    Eve in the Garden

Spending time in his Word as opposed to word certainly would, but it seems to me that most people who read or study the Bible don't know the difference and encounter confusion! "For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints." I Cor 14:33

    Eve in the Garden

I am not disagreeing but you are still missing the main point!

    Progressive Christians

You're not alone! All I have seen is "erased"!

    Progressive Christians

Why don't we all use the manners and grammar and language of the time when Jesus walked planet Earth then? Would that give us an advantage over anyone else? When was it the first man spoke English?

Can a Christian be a Democrat?

Perhaps, but the people themselves are moving with the government or the government is moving with them farther and farther away from God. Democracy is certainly not and never has been to my understanding, God's Way.

    Eve in the Garden

I am certainly not against reading and studying the scriptures. My point is that study alone is a weariness of the flesh. We need to both eat His flesh and drink His blood regularly in order to have Life!

    Christian Kooks - OMG!

[To the chief Musician, Altaschith, Michtam of David; when Saul sent, and they watched the house to kill him.] "Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me." Psalm 59:1

    Eve in the Garden

Negative on that! If study alone were the answer then people with good minds who applied themselves fully to studying the Bible would become better believers in God than anyone else. If you have been around a while you will have met some dedicated students of the Bible who were atheists studying...

    Why Christians Disagree

When a person is really hungry and thirsty for God and the things of God then he will be receptive and "hear" the real testimony of a person. But... a little interest or curiosity or even a scientific attraction is not enough. Unlike some I do not want to or try to throw people into a place of...

    Eve in the Garden

Yes, simple to us in our own hearts when God has filled in any gaps there [spiritually discerned], but in our minds to formulate an expression in man's language that anyone listening could understand requires an interpretation by that same Holy Spirit for the benefit of the listener. Just...

WHY ARE MANY OF US STILL HERE?

I am not good at following all of the Hebrew but I do see a difference between the interaction of the Holy Spirit with men prior to the pouring out as per Acts chapter 2. I would say that John 20:22 goes along with the Holy Spirit as seen throughout the OT. Perhaps this all relates to the...

    New job!

@Frank Lee Thanks for the summary and pictures. Sounds like a good place to me. May she be richly blessed!

    Why Christians Disagree

Which is why it seldom fruitful to seriously even discuss it. Where is our starting point? "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Heb 11:6 For you it may appear to be...

    Eve in the Garden

Your few words bring a whole stream of questions and understandings and difficulties which I am not certain I need to deal with at the moment. In time as per Ecc 3:1-8 we may discuss this some more... For now, give God the glory!

WHY ARE MANY OF US STILL HERE?

I am tired from a very long day shopping with my wife on the 1st of the month between storms here in northern Oklahoma, but I do understand what you are saying. In a way perhaps we may be saying the same thing using different definitions for our words... You referred to Jesus' words regarding...

    Eve in the Garden

Thank you for that. It explains somewhat of where you are coming from. I see perhaps much of the same thing, but I have obviously I guess been led differently. For God are they both the highway of holiness?
