Precisely!

I remember when I was in London for Christmas of 1969 [on vacation from school in West Berlin] they were in the process of changing their money to the decimal system. When I paid for anything requiring someone to give me change I simply trusted them. Someone had figured out a stepped change from...

So have I!

@Frank Lee Also praying for you and your wife during difficult times.

Now maybe you will then begin to understand what our friend @bbyrd009 means of when he speaks of Nehushtan?

Indeed, if all power comes from God then the one with such a gift who is misusing it as by His left hand could properly be named a wizard.

Truth in what you wrote. Our entire language [English] is filled with words which were derived in one way or the other originally from pagan practices and rituals. If we were to get rid of all them immediately our entire language would be changed. Of course our language is changing all of the...

Of course you are correct. Those men were given to us to accomplish God's purpose in us as Apostle Paul wrote here: "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the...

Don't expect the breakthrough to be just like you expect it to be because it probably won't be. Mine certainly have not been. My own breakthroughs, if you want to call them that are part and parcel of the testimony of my life. I won't detail them here. Still, when I am talking to Him in the...

It was my turn to get a pretty good night's sleep!

@Willie T When I was in high school there were three young men who seemed to always be laughing whenever they saw me around. I was certain that they were laughing at and making fun of me. I guess I was quite paranoid in those days. During the summer vacation one of them was working with his...

I hear you and I guess you hear me, but God hears us both even though our words say two different ways. God seeing the heart sees the one Way always according to our direction as He leads us. We both believe that, but yours seems complete before mine is. Sometimes I wish we could all believe...

Of course, you already know that we disagree on this. Let us part for now without animosity. Give God the glory!

I do agree that the relationships that people build through Christ are not as those with our natural families. The flesh of every carnal body is wearing out and dying. The new man within us is to go the other direction... that is to never die. As to my natural brothers, I don't give them much...

And Merry Christmas to you as well.

You are saying, in effect, that you cannot sin after you have made an honest and complete confession to God. I would say that no matter how complete our confession if our heart and ways did not immediately overcome and/or eliminate every sinful way and attraction [such the works resulting from...

I don't do some things at all. Some things I would only due when given no other real choice. I have 4 natural brothers. Three of them send me cards every year for my birthday and Christmas. Only one of those three calls me once in a great while to talk. The 4th one, the only one close to me in...

We give Him all that we have and while we do He then will fill in the considerable gaps of what is needed. Unfortunately what I have seen is that people who have started out giving to God what they could later along their way pulled back from Him refusing to give even what they had. Two verses...

I do agree! Embedded? I am afraid you really do not understand at all where I have been and where I am. I grew up as a devout Catholic, if you can understand that. I was into oneness Jesus only which is a type of what you call Pentecostalism. God took me out of both of them as I studied and...

Just keep on, keepin' on! That is all any one of us can do. If we hold on and keep asking Him for help and striving with all we have, He will most certainly not fail us, although at times we may wonder at His apparent silence. Eventually He will speak to our hearts and encourage us in Him. Why...
