    Why water into wine?

Pia, I DO know Him and I obey Him as best I can as a flawed human being. I receive Him spiritually and physically in the Eucharist. I obey His earthly Authority, which is the Church. I'm not trying to get you to "disbelieve" Jesus, as you accuse me. I simply don't believe that Jesus is a...

    Why water into wine?

Jesus told him three times to tend His sheep and feed his lambs because of Peter's triple denial. He reinstated Peter by again putting him in charge, as he did at Caserea-Philippi (Matt. 16:18-19).

    Why water into wine?

What's "Roman" Baptism? As far as I know there is no such thing. Now - do you believe that there is "none righteous" as Matt. 3:10 states? You all seem to whip that verse out when attacking Mary's sinlessness.

    Why water into wine?

They ALL ran and hid and fell from faith (Matt. 26). Jesus ONLY prayed for Peter - that HIS faith would not ultimately fail and that HE restore his brothers. You're dancing all around the overwhelming Scriptural evidence I presented but you're not answering anything. Cat got your tongue, Stanger??

    Why water into wine?

Do you believe that there is NONE righteous, as Rom. 3:10 says? As for Baptism - Jesus gave the prescription (Matt. 28:19, John 3:5) - not Rome or any other city.

    Why water into wine?

You still haven't addressed any of the dozen Scriptural points I made. Until you can do that - your argument is nothing but opinion and you've been soundly defeated. Did Jesus tell ANY of the other Apostles to Tend His flock and feed His lambs?? Nope - ONLY Peter. Why is this if he was NOT in...

    Why water into wine?

So, you believe that the Communion of Saints includes ALL members of the Body of Christ - living on earth,in heaven and in the final state of purification? You believe that we can ask them for prayer - and that they will pray for us? If not - you have invented another definition for this doctrine.

    Which thread?

It is not in the bible.....but believed

Yes - several of them: Origen The Book [the Protoevangelium] of James [records] that the brethren of Jesus were sons of Joseph by a former wife, whom he married before Mary. Now those who say so wish to preserve the honor of Mary in virginity to the end, so that body of hers which was appointed...

Suicide: A guaranteed direct ticket to hell?

You're sure about that? Jesus said of Judas, "But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born." Why would Jesus say this about a person who was saved?? Although the Bible doesn't tell us about anybody's eternal fate - there is no valid reason...

It is not in the bible.....but believed

Unfortunately for you - this is not the Biblical definition of "Firstborn", which simply means the one who opened his mother's womb. No - there is not one shred of Scriptural evidence to support the idea that Mary had any other children besides Jesus. This is a Protestant invention and has...

    Why water into wine?

No - just spreadin' the truth. Funny how you anti-Catholics are good at dishing it out - but God forbid that a Catholic doesn't just sit there and take your abuse. All of a sudden, we're the "mean"and nasty" ones . . .
  13. BreadOfLife

    Why water into wine?

Sure they do. Can you address why Peter was singled out so much? Can you address why Jesus prayed for Him alone to bring back the others? Can you address ANY of the dozen or so Scriptural points I made?? Yeah - I didn't think so. You've been taken to the woodshed and been Scripturally-spanked . . .

    Why water into wine?

The Communion of Saints, by definition includes ALL members of the Body of Christ - living on earth,in heaven and in the final state of purification. There is no "smorgasbord" version where you pick and choose which parts you agree with or reject. Either you believe in the doctrine or you...

    Why water into wine?

And, until you can address the over one DOZEN Biblical proofs I presented in post #1121 showing Peter's Primacy - your position is as impotent as a Nevada boxing commissioner. Opinions don't mean squat in light of documented evidence. In short - you brought a pea-shooter to a gunfight . . .

    Why water into wine?

Do you believe in the Communion of saints? Do you believe that ALL of us in the Body of Christ are there for each other, praying for each other and rejoicing with one another? Do you believe that they pray for us from Heaven? Do you believe that they take our prayers to God? If not - then you...

    Why water into wine?

Just one last thing. Just as a married man and woman are ONE - so is Christ and His Church. All those who "believe" in Christ are not part of His Church. All those who believe and OBEY Him and are baptized are part of His Church. God demands obedience - not just "belief" - so, when you say...

    Why water into wine?

Why would this be a problem?? They ALL had their missions. Some went to Asia, others to India, others to Europe and beyond. This does not negate Peter's Authority - nor the Authority of his successors. Tell me something - in the Letter of Clement (AD 90) - why is Clement, the Bishop of Rome...

    Why water into wine?

And, as I educated you before - Simon could not very well be called "Petra" because he was a MAN. "Petra" is a feminine noun. In English, we don't deal much with masculine and feminine nouns - but they DO in Greek, French, Spanish and many other languages. "Petros" is used for Peter in the...

    Why water into wine?

I'm not trying to fight with you, Pia. I'm trying to get to the bottom of some of your statements. You just said: "According to Him, His Church is made up of those who believe " Can you show me where the Bible makes this claim?? James 2:19 sates that even the DEMONS believe in God and and...
