For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

Organization and size decrease, as I see it, the likelihood of group being just as it should be. Of course even if you were to find one that met your specifications, how many on this forum would disagree with your choice? A small single group may exist that strives to do it right, but without...

    " Surrender.."

Amen! That is what is needed, something that in spite of the worst trials is able to endure to the end with God.

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

The problem is that even though serious fault might found with Catholicism, which Protestant group is so much better that we should go with it instead? Perhaps this is why it is not unusual for some sincere believers to withdraw from any formally organized Christian group. I am working on...

@Mister Michael Welcome to the forum.

    what's the point anymore

I also see JWs as Christians, as much as I am able to see any group as Christians, but many people have in their minds and heart written a new definition for that word, Christian. If you don't line up with their definition then you are not allowed on their boat. But... like such a boat is not...

    what's the point anymore

Stop complaining and simply live for God. You are to please God, not people. People who really are people of God will love you in spite of your differences.

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

Then again, some people don't openly call themselves by the label Christian because so many who do take on the label do not at all resemble the Jesus described in the scriptures. Especially, I guess, in "Western" countries there have been "benefits" available to those calling themselves...

    " Surrender.."

All are deceived until every battle has been fought and every obstacle standing between them and God has been overcome. God loses no battles in which He participates. The problem with us is that too often we lock the door against God and go into battle alone.

    " Surrender.."

And then into the fire you go.

    " Surrender.."

The problem with too quickly on our own saying that we have already surrendered completely that we are 100% dead is that we are still "in" the world. In the world, we will continue to be tempted and we speak too highly of our position without the lead of the Holy Ghost, then the "pride of life"...

    " Surrender.."

Jesus certainly fought more than one battle before he finally was able to say, "... I have overcome the world." John 16:33 Why would we suppose that we have only one battle to fight in our war?

    Getting Grace Right

Why do you put pressure on a believer to answer a question which likely many, if not most, Christians could not answer without reservation. The following verse shows us the direction to go in order to please God: "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must...

    Getting Grace Right

Who indeed, but God? He make provision for us but we must come to Him with the nothing that we are and let Him take it from there. Some people are unwilling to let go of what they believe is important. Sometimes all we can do is pray that God will open their eyes as the prophet did for his blind...

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

I hear your words although for me while some scriptures may seem to me irrefutably on the one side, I know that some people are absolutely adamant that the scriptures on their side to them are irrefutable. Which side however belongs to God? I would say the side of charity/love. That should be...

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

I don't read many of the posts on the many threads on the forum. But, if I get interested in a particular subject I may. Usually however very long threads don't hold my interest as the arguments presented on many subjects tend to be repetitive. Beyond a certain point they will no longer edify...

If I did, I certainly don't remember what was in them all. :)

Regarding the Holy Spirit and His gifts I believe...

Yes, and this relates probably again to what our friend @bbyrd009 often calls Nehushtan.

Regarding the Holy Spirit and His gifts I believe...

I guess that you have studied this at length, but we most certainly disagree. Too tired to consider or write any answer now. I may or may not come to it as God directs.

Regarding the Holy Spirit and His gifts I believe...

I won't comment on this at the moment because my answer would probably not be as simple as you statement and I am tired at that moment needing to return rest for a few hours. [At times I am unable to sleep when I should be sleeping and have to make up the difference.] As you move through the...
