Sometimes Helen all we can do is put it on a shelf and wait on God.

But what does it mean to be IN the name? Being "in the name" is much more than simply saying "in the name of Jesus" when we are praying. People say that there is power in the name and there is but the key is to be "IN" the name. At a neighborhood bar room people may regularly say the word...

Do you really believe Jesus suffered and died so that everyone could and would be healthy and wealthy in the flesh and material goods? This time given to each of us is short and has a purpose... and it is not to tickle our own flesh although at times some of us may receive material blessings...

The scriptures also say that Adam and Eve died when they partook of the wrong tree. As a result every child born naturally to woman was dead for what else could be born of a dead mother? But then came Jesus: "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that...

Yes, could it be another one of those very old Hollywood things: "Donovan's Brain"?

Perhaps the whole problem here is our understanding or lack of understanding exactly what or who God is. [How much do we have to know? How much do we have to believe? How much knowledge and how much faith?] Insisting on dividing Him into three parts or persons or coequal entities in itself...

Nothing to hide really, but I am a little careful with private information on myself and/or others on forum like this open to the public.

No! Sorry, but if you are interested I will post a physical address and answer additional questions on a PM.

Indeed! There are prophets we have met in the flesh and there are or have been prophets to whom God has given something to write in books for someone to read and be edified thereby. God works in more ways than probably any of us are able to imagine.

Our little non-denominational assembly is called Gospel Chapel is affiliated loosely other similar churches across the United States, but there is no headquarters and no man in charge other than Jesus. The pastor's surname is Sturgeon. His father was full blooded Canadian Chippewa. His mother...

The place in God as He leads me. Sometimes it is remaining silent. Sometimes it is speaking. And so forth... Give God the glory!

According to His Will, let it be.

He is playing with the different meanings of words. In grammar the future, present and past are tenses explaining time. But saying the situation was tense means it was a strained or taut situation because of the possible bad results. A bike is a cycle. So if a bike runs over you it is bad...

Sorry but it is a dead horse. We are not communicating. Back into God's capable hands!

@Willie T My friend, I have, as it were, walked on eggshells around you so as not to offend unnecessarily, but sometimes you simply take offense while never admitting even to yourself that maybe you have also offended others with your single-minded thrust. If I have offended you...

I have quickly visited the site and saved it for future reference. He has a couple of titles that sound interesting and I will probably view them later as I have time and the Lord leads. Of course, I must say that I was not and am not looking for change in where I am or in a person to lead me...

Right with you on this. Hypothetical questions may occasionally serve a good purpose, but getting a definite answer for future use in real life situations is not one of them. We are to be listening to all of the time and hearing God's answer in the moment of need.

Yes, I understand perfectly. Early on many of his acronyms, if you can call them that, were very confusing, but after a while the more common became known to me. I still do a google check on some of them for clarification. A little trouble, but sometimes worth the trouble.

Of course as Jesus said himself, He is the Truth. That doesn't however answer all of the questions, for who of us knows Jesus so well in all things? That we are here as followers of Him, as Christians in that sense, means we know the truth, but we are growing, or should be, toward that truth. We...

Still no personal knowledge for me. I probably don't know any reporters personally so how could I judge fairly what any of them say? I might compare their reports and decide that someone is lying, but I guess I already believed that to be the case anyway. Is not every man a liar? I guess it...
