Well we are where we are right now, and I hope not to be running away with Jonah. I cannot speak for other parts. The Head is in place and sending signals to the Body as needed. Are the parts receiving or understanding the message sent? Are we working as we should be working? Today is the day...

Yes, I hear you loud and clear. Jesus clarified this Himself here: "I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. There is...

I for many years have read that verse you cited [study to show yourself approved] as a call to study ONLY out of obedience to God rather to learn and understand all of God's Way. The learning and understanding, if it comes, comes as a result of following the Holy Ghost [as per John 14:26] rather...

So then the real problem is people like to hold onto their own reins. They want to decide when to read what, when to decide what or nothing, when to pray to God and when to play with their friends at whatever. How many are willing to hand their reins over to God 24/7. It is easy enough to say...

Two problems I see immediately. One is that there are not many ministers teaching what people do not really want to hear... even if it is the truth and God wants them to teach it. Two is that not many people are really looking for ministers who are teaching whatever it is that God wants people...

It gets ever harder to remain outside or to get outside of man's system. Even without someone implanting a small piece of electronics under you skin, who is not trapped by the system? Can you get a small piece of land and live for God alone with no influence from the powers of men invested in...

Some people don't relate today to OT situations described for different reasons I would guess. Some probably have never read the verses involved. Among those who have read them some have had little understanding of the relevancy to them. Some cannot be troubled or do not want to be troubled with...

What I meant is that God understands it all and easily understands it at that. Some things some of us may understand easily or hard, but some of us may not understand some things at all. I don't believe there would be such varied levels of understanding with God. There would be essentially...

Yes, it is alive, but is it complete? Will none of those born to women or who are yet to be born to women also to be a part of the Body of Christ? This is something to understand perhaps and especially until we understand better time as our friend @ScottA explains it. The Body may in Light of...

"Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away." I Cor 13:8 Yes, so then perhaps when knowledge vanishes away at the same time tongues shall cease. I do not see where...

I have known more than one Catholic who also spoke in tongues. God is no respecter or church or denomination. Some people who disagree with something or do not have a certain gift from God will readily label it as false. There are certainly false tongues even as there is certainly an...

It is good that someone who has the right heart for God is there to fill a good man's shoe. I wish I could say that this was the case for us. There is a good man who will oversee the assemble when our pastor is taken, but he has his own assembly about 150 miles away and cannot come as often as...

I believe that God gave us ministers to accomplish His purposes: "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in...

In saying I knew when He did not show up I was in error, because when I was not among those in His name, how could I know? I would have been unable to discern. If I were the only one in a group and I alone was "in His name" that would have worked, but I do not recall definitely such a situation...

I think you have it now. But I'd be careful not to think you understand our friend @bbyrd009 that well. I've been reading his posts for a bit longer that you and he still surprises quite often. God made a very great variety of men and while many of us have similarities, how many are precisely...

Yes, and for some or even all that may have been the primary purpose... but without the mind of God, how much can we know and how much must be speculation?

Many things take a while for each of us, but not all of us are working on, or having worked on, the same thing simultaneously. Only God is able comprehend all of these things all of the time about everyone. When I used the word "positive" I had in mind doing exactly what God ultimately would...

For you perhaps or for me perhaps, but if not all of the Body of Christ is exactly where it supposed to be will that affect you or me as well? Consider that Jesus was perfect in Spirit and in Word throughout his life as a man. To be the Head of the Body of Christ he had to complete his own time...

Give God the glory!

There are people on both sides of that question if you have never heard it being discussed on forums. Some say it is literal while other say it is a parable. Whatever it is that is written in scripture likely has in it a message from God for people, but the message may be different for...
