No matter what it is, this is a prayer thread. Discuss it elsewhere if that is your inclination.

Where in the world are you?

Thank you my friend! There are still a few around. I really do wish there were more, but a lot of the people dying these days are among them while the new adults are more likely to be another way. Let us pray that God will use us to help others to understand this part of the message: One man...

    The Rapture Lie

Thank you for your revealing and kind words. I will be seeing you around the forum and we may even converse from time to time. Again may God richly bless you and yours.

    The Rapture Lie

This is so and often this what people do. There are of course some who don't bother to copy knowledge... that is they know nearly nothing of importance and too often open their mouths to say that. So do I but I really don't get to know very many people on the forums any more. Most threads I...

    The Rapture Lie

LOL, it seems that perhaps our wires have crossed. I do have at least two old friends named Nancy but I am uncertain that this Nancy is one of those. In any case I was talking in this thread in the post to you about "ByGrace" rather than Nancy. Hopefully no hard feelings between us now. May God...

    The Rapture Lie

Good enough. I also avoid reading most lengthy posts with a few exceptions which your number 1 helps to describe. Also I tend to avoid anymore things as per your number 2. For example on this forum anytime I see the Protestants versus the Catholics I try to be gone.

    The Rapture Lie

Is it appropriate to presume a person is lazy because they do not come up against you head to head and scripture for scripture? We are not all the same and to expect us to be would be incorrect, would it not? "For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body...

What Makes a Bible Version a Paraphrase?

We all are responsible to God to do what He leads us to do in the way He directs. This should apply to each believer. Again it comes back to the individual and his walk with God. Teachers of translators have a special walk and responsibility, but no man who sincerely is hungry and thirsty for...

Where in the world are you?

I was late to marry being 28 at the time. Kathy was a young 21. [I am now 74 and she is 67.] My youngest brother, born 14 years after me did not marry until he was 38. He also has only been married once but his children are the age of my grandchildren. It does take all kinds, doesn't it?

Thank you and bless you. I hear you. One time through is more than enough. You have been at things for a long time. Give God the glory!

Where in the world are you?

Another one of those Okies here. Born in Oklahoma and then moved to California where I grew up. I spent 2 years in Wyoming [1985 to 1987] before returning to Oklahoma where I presently live in retirement from secular work with my wife. By the way today is our 46th anniversary. [Only one marriage...

What Makes a Bible Version a Paraphrase?

@Hidden In Him The whole problem I see with this subject is that all of us who are not experts in the original languages in which the scriptures were written are dependent in a measure on those who have translated them into languages we understand. If the translator is not in someway guided by...

The Good News.....now not so good ?!

The real news remains good. The problem is that so many people remain blind to it.

    A permanent structure

Oh yes! I have never lost my own child that I knew and loved but I have through the years known many people who have. On this forum, consider the case of our friend and brother @Frank Lee . What is God's will for a situation? When it is to remove someone we love dearly, it may not even be...

    A permanent structure

Our problem is that we do not really completely understand God and all of His plan. Those who really are believers are growing, but how much do we still not yet know? The answer is certainly different for different people... but the following verses still apply to us whenever we simply do not...

    A permanent structure

My point was not that the system men have put into place never works. Undoubtedly it sometimes does, but I am wanting to rely on a system that always works. It is God's plan that always does things right. The problem on the one hand is understanding God's plan and on the other hand if and when...

    A permanent structure

Consider the bones of you or me versus the bones of Jesus which were never broken at all. When the scriptures speak of the bones of carnal men in their fleshly ways how often are they broken or dissolved of melted? Even the so-called good thief on the cross had his bones broken, but they left...

    A permanent structure

The presumption of course is that the teacher will be more trustworthy than the parents and this is all based on the presumption that the first grader is not lying about the whole thing. Hmmm? Perhaps here it where trusting no man but God alone would come into the picture, or...?
