Praying for you!

Creation as from nothing versus becoming as in changing from one thing to another. God created things as we see when He said, "Let there be..." , but He did it differently with man for man was to become like God. What is the difference? Wait for the others to amplify if they will... While I...

@bbyrd009 Well God's number according to many is seven. See seven spirits of Rev 3:1 relating to Isaiah 11:2. I don't know about the reverse for man's number, for his number, at least after he sinned, is six. I suspect that the ideas of seven different beasts and sins comes from a source...

Not really taking up their arguments but mine and hopefully God's. Remember these words spoke by Jesus? "And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God." Mark 10:18 Was Jesus denying that he, Jesus, was good? No, what he was confirming was that any...

Thank you for your kind and extensive response. "Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you." Prov 1:23 "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall...

@pia @bbyrd009 I have mentioned on this forum, I believe, that men are all beasts at the start. Perhaps the exceptions to that, other than Jesus, would be Adam and Eve before they sinned. The number of scriptures involved in a full study of the beast(s) of men is tremendous. Consider all the...

"Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel." Psalm 78:41 God is limited by men, because God gave men authority by His Word and God is bound by His Word. We have the God-given power for our period of time to disobey God. He will not stop us in that disobedience...

@Stranger I never said that I did not vote. I have not missed voting in a national election since I was first eligible, which has been quite a few elections ago now. You apparently disagree with much of what I believe... even when I have given biblical support for much of it. Never mind, for...

He has set it up through the pastor of another assembly in another city located about 150 miles away. While our pastor lives it presents no problem, but without his input and presence, it is still likely to be problematic for the other pastor because the only person who wants the position is not...

I have also known our friend twinc many years on other forums. It would very surprising indeed if he gave you a straight and simple answer. He is a Catholic, but quite unorthodox as a Catholic. If he would see this, he would probably agree if he were to answer at all.

If I may ask you a question with no tricks or tests in mind. You say the Holy Spirit is the "only" helper by the Father. My question is about the Holy Spirit also being called the Comforter in this verse: "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide...

QUOTE=""ByGrace", post: 329832, member: 4427"]From my kitchen window. WELCOME TO WESTERN CANADA !! :( The wind is horrible and road icy..not fun, and too early!! Is that then, good news, or bad news or other? :);):(:rolleyes:o_O

Thank you for your kind reply. I am an avid follower of Jesus, and a very regular Bible reader, but many of the signs while familiar do not fit together for me. I simply strive to do what God would have me to do to be always ready for whatever it is He may have for me.

Where I attend it is supposed to be up to God. My pastor has been the only pastor since it was founded long before I attended. But, some would like to see a program change. Maybe some are just waiting for him to die [now 92] so they can implement such a change. He says the only way he would ever...

I am glad you have received the word that you never need to pray about this thing of voting again. My best friend who has not attended church services regularly in 11 years came to United States from Mexico about 40 years ago. After receiving his U.S citizenship naturalization papers he voted...

My point was simply that unless God has told us what someone's purpose is and we know all of the circumstances as well as the heart of the person, we should at least very slow to stand in judgment against him. You used Pontius Pilate as an example to support your condemnation as if it were...

@Stranger Effectively as I see it, God gave us our own reins. That is He has given us the control, the choices. Like a rider handing the reins of a horse over to the horse, He has given each of us our own reins. If we learn any wisdom at all from scripture and from the Holy Spirit, it should be...

No, they are not the only ones, but where are our efforts to be other than to be on the Lord's side? I am glad that you fight for God. Any political position could be OK so long as it does not oppose God. Which party is God's? If I knew of one I would join it. My problem with man's politics...

And when all of the smoke clears, let us all rejoice together in Him giving God all of the glory while taking upon ourselves all of the blame.

So then because the government went the wrong way that time as well as many times before and many times since the correct way now is to fight against that government? And who is we are to fight for? The South was and is also made up of people. How about fighting for God instead of any of them...
