Aye, perhaps according the RCC official stance, they are not supposed to, but in fact many of them do. I also was once one of them. The distinction was never brought home to me that I should not be worshipping Mary. Quite the contrary.

I would say, NO! Of course, some people may also speak against me. For that matter they also spoke against Jesus, did they not? Then we are not quite like Jesus. At least, not yet!

But, God would not have called it a 'bad habit'. We really cannot understand even how He loves us without His help!

Jesus while tempted by all them [Heb 4:15] never failed to win the battles. He had the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. Because of His sacrifice the gift of the Holy Spirit to whosoever will, do we not have the same power on our side? Yes, but there is a difference. We all already have a...

Man from his creation had the ability to sin. The sinful nature is defined by the temptations described here: "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." I John 2:16 Adam and Eve only faced...

We are praying that God will help you dear sister. He is able, but sometimes we may have to pass through great difficulties along the way.

I believe the infection is gone. Now she's back into just the healing process from the surgery. She can get up and walk, but of course no driving a car. I went to church service alone this morning as has been the case since her surgery, but this afternoon I took her to library. I was a short run...

God created us without evil in us, but He gave us the ability to disobey Him. This is what we call "free will" and men have been using it ever since. That first sin of disobedience established evil and it has been growing as mankind has been growing... without God.

Unfortunately some people will take one little point in a certain direction a build wall with it. God is beyond us, but, I believe that He is good, even if He has allowed evil to exist.

e normal or not? Indeed, whatever "normal folk" may be... I agree that the translations contain all that is needed, but I also believe that brain power won't get us what we need. The following is a true story which relates to a couple of things here. Many years ago [I have been retired for 17...

Oh, I wouldn't say it cannot be supported by scripture. I am certain that I have previously and probably could again support it with scripture, but this alone would not make it right to anyone but me... if it were right to me. Personal revelations can be from God and therefore correct. But...

I still stand with my own earlier explanation of fire although other things may well enter into it. When I was young in the Lord, I was a dancer and a runner as well as a tongue talker. The running is about gone because I cannot get run and catch my breath, but the dancing still hits me at...

It would seem that our friend, @face2face is speaking of the "left hand of God" versus the "right hand of God". For example, Pharaoh of Egypt in the time of Moses was working as the left hand of God while Moses was the right. In God's overall plan I believe that are some negative parts which...

Well give God the glory sister. All the best to you for a successful search.

Also, I don't think it's necessary to understand all this. No resolution necessary. I especially like and agree with your last sentence. No, I really decided on that long ago, but still sometimes the issue comes up and my answers may let people know my position is different that theirs. Some...

Hold on, because here is where I go astray according to many. Put simply the Holy Spirit is effectively the Blood of Jesus which we are to drink which brings the Flesh of Jesus to Life within us. This corresponds to natural blood which makes the connection between all of the parts of a body of...

A few years ago I thought that since I had learned two foreign languages that I could learn Hebrew or Greek or even both. It wasn't meant to be. What I was able to do when I was young is not impossible now, but the necessary time I quickly realized took too much away from my Bible reading and...

I suspect that the baptism of fire may include more than one the various interpretations. The Oneness people believed it was the heat of enthusiasm of a person in the Spirit of God. Of course, they are true "holy rollers" like me LOL.

May those who are affected by his demise accept and acknowledge the peace that God offers.

@pia I am sorry I overlooked this before. ********************************** No one could overcome until Jesus cleared the way. First Jesus had to overcome the temptations of his own flesh to qualify to pay the price. He did overcome and then he did pay the price. As a result there was then...
