No not "sola scriptura". Without the Holy Spirit, even the scripture won't cut it. Don't get me wrong on what people refer to as the "godhead". My flesh is still alive and active and whenever possible like anyone else who has not overcome all the obstacles that might lie between themselves and...

Let us hope not. On lengthy threads with very closely posted posts it is sometimes difficult enough to keep track of what people saying without the software going softer [or should I have said "harder"] on us as well.

Sometimes such answers are very good, as God saw that everything was "very good". Even people may sometimes think that is all like mathematics, probably it is not.

Maybe it wasn't possible. Sometimes I am dense on my own. Sometimes, maybe God makes me that way for His own reason. Sorry if it disturbed you. Actually, I read back through all of your posts on this thread before I began to understand what you were saying and asking. My initial words with...

Your explanation were very clear. Thank you!

I did answer finally what I guessed was your question just a few minutes ago. I guess the post with my answer was lost in the system here somehow. My mind is misfiring so I will take a break... Oh, so now my response shows up again. God help me with this system and keep me calm.

There is a third alternative. I did read it all the scripture. I still did not understand your question or even for certain what your question was. I was not disagreeing; I was not understanding. I really did not know what you were talking about and yet instead of trying to explain you forged...

I don't have the answer to your question. I don't know what your question is. If you expect me to answer you then you must clarify what it is that you are asking. I fail to understand what you are saying or asking.

No, if we have an answer, it should be what God told us. God has not shown me. To say that He has would be a lie on my part.

Yes, on the one hand I don't understand it all, but on the other hand I am daily drawn back to reading it more and more. The Holy Spirit is giving me answers, but often they are not answers to questions I have presently been seeking. I have to just presume as always that God knows what He is doing.

Very good then...

The gift of God came through Jesus. Jesus paid that price which made entrance possible. Without Him no one would have the means to pass by the flaming sword. But, we still need to have the faith to do it. The verse you cited still requires faith. We need faith to start and faith to continue and...

Most of them learned early in the game how to get most for themselves while anchoring themselves securely to a good source of money. Man is basically selfish and no laws he can pass will remove that from him. His only real recourse is God, but most people are looking in the wrong direction.

Democracy is not what some people would expected or hoped for. The minority protections supposedly guaranteed by the US Constitution and its first 10 Amendments has been circumvented. The three parts of government that were intended to act as checks on the power of one another would not be...

I grew up collecting postage stamps from about 8 years old [born in 1943]. Although I stopped actively collecting new stamp several years ago, I am now actively sorting them out to sell. I still have well in excess of 100,000 stamps so it will be a while before they are gone, perhaps not before...

Amen on the Rock! As for the overcomers, they would likely be the members of the Bride. Not everyone saved makes the Bride.

My only concern is for what believers or would be believers should do. I am so out of the loop especially when it comes to sports, I had to ask my wife's assistance to understand what had instigated a situation that bothered anyone in the first place.

I am also praying right now for this situation.

The point is there is what men say and there is what God says. The first one is easy. The second one, not so much. We need help, but it can be difficult if men use the sophisticated theological writings and conclusions against our writings and conclusions. This is why the connection with God...

Yes, I have run into this previously. People have built up a faith with faith meaning one thing and belief meaning something else. While this can be done as man can do whatever he wants, what is it that God wants? I see no such separation into two meanings in scripture. Could we be wrong? Yes...
