The message did come to the Jew first, but in the end of the matter: "For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him." Rom 10:12 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor...

But...like all of the rest of us believes he is clean: Pro 16:2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.

Probably dear sister, every person here who believes in God at all holds some beliefs which agree with Catholic beliefs. The doctrine of the Trinity is prime example. Yes, there are some, such as myself, who do not embrace it, but many do. Unfortunately, when we follow Jesus too closely, we are...

I really have to disagree with this. A prophet is anyone who speaks the Word of God, not necessarily in some prediction of future events. That would be included in prophecy, but it is not the only thing. The Church is the Mother as God is the Father. The Mother gives birth [through witnesses]...

Considering that there are probably thousands of supposed prophets and preachers and teachers and men of God in what may be called Christendom, is not your seemingly irrevocable conclusion rather final? How many of the thousands have you heard? Even if you serious tried, could you in your...

That is not a wrong way to do it. That is one reason why He gave us Bibles.

They are different in that Jesus did not see the things of God as through a "glass darkly", but Paul write that he did [I Cor 13:12]. Paul also tells us how to follow him: "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ." I Cor 11:1 Of course, I do not believe that message through Paul...

Keep on smiling Pia. Try this verse: "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." I John 3:2 How like Him are we able to be? God can do anything and will, if we...

Ah yes, and... in spite of the evil ways of men: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Really always for man there have been only two choices. That is his "freewill". The two choices are "my way" or "God's Way". They are repeated and expressed many times in scripture in various ways in both the OT and the NT, but the result is the same. My way equals death. God's Way equals Life...

"This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24 "Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." Matt 6:34

What is it that you need to understand, but the Truth that God has already put into your heart? We are not all theologians nor does God expect it of us. He wants someone who is available to Him. If they are willing and He calls on them, will He not provide whatever they need to accomplish His...

One can study it and read for years and still miss much of the meaning within it. Believe me, I know. The Light is brighter than is was for me, but there is still darkness which needs to be removed or brightened. Indeed, and much is already understood from it by those who follow the Lord and...

Most of our married life, my wife has had serious health issues. This has been her burden and my own. It has also been the burden of those we have fellowshipped with and in the Lord including those with whom have attended services. On the one hand someone is preaching or testifying about the...

Give God the glory, my friend! He is always good!

@Grams Welcome to the forum.

Do you want something for nothing? God does want something from you in spite of your suspicions. It will require a real step of faith on your part: "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that...

Correction: Abbott and Costello!

The other one I had not see before, but it is also good.
