There are those who do not believe in a Rapture(Caught up) for the Elect

the rapture is a relatively NEW teaching in the church. It is a false teaching. People who teach it are false teachers.

    Science and God

When science contradicts the Bible, it is probably the Bible thats wrong. For example, there is no giant dome over the earth that holds back the "upper waters". This same dome is described as being like a curtain that God will open when He comes down because His throne is located above that...

    Was Jesus married?

That is speculation... A very Greek idea. Certainly not Jewish.

    Was Jesus married?

Why would sex have excluded Jesus from being mediator? Do you have a verse in mind or something?

    Was Jesus married?

Sex is not forbidden by the law of God. In fact it is blessed. Sex within the confines of marriage is NOT sin. Jesus would NOT have sinned had he been married and had sex. Saying sex is sin is to ascribe laws to God that were never spoken by Him.

    Was Jesus married?

Interesting point that many who say Jesus was probably married tend to bring up. They also quote Paul in regard to things that are spirit are spiritual, etc... And also things the things Paul does not say (since his writings are even earlier than the gospels) about Jesus and his life and...

    Was Jesus married?

Not by law that I am aware of, but certainly by tradition.

    Was Jesus married?

What would be the theological implications if Jesus were married to Mary Magdalene prior to his crucifixion? The gospels have her going to the tomb to prepare the body, which function was reserved for family. Just curious. Serious responses only please.

    The Case for Christ

verzanumi, if they copied from other wiritten sources then they cannot be eye witnesses. If I saw an accident and I am asked to recount it on paper, would they accept my account if it was mostly copied (verbatim) from someone else's account? Why would I copy from another eye witness if I saw it...

    Is Last Day coming soon?

They have been saying it is the last days for 2000 years now. Each successive generation has evidence to show it is the last days. They prepare. Nothing happens except the change that time brings. Sometimes catastrophic, but never the end.

    Is Last Day coming soon?

Just before you die will be your last days.

    Why water into wine?

seeing as how the account is not a true historical account (a biography) but is rather a theological account, i.e. the writer fashions the account (as do Matthew, Mark and Luke) literarily to a specific audience and to address certain theological issues, it is less likely to be about Jesus...

    The Case for Christ

If inspiration were evident, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Matthew and Luke copied verbatim from Mark. That's not inspiration.

    The Case for Christ

So, Matthew and Luke copying Mark is spirit inspired, but if they used other sources it's not spirit inspired? Therefore they must not have used other sources? This is your ONLY logic for the non-existence of Q, so far. Even though Matthew and Luke have already shown they copied one text, they...

    The Case for Christ

The Book of Enoch was not likely written before Moses, it is believed to have been written during the intertestamental period. A time of proliferative writing and revision.

    The Case for Christ

Actually much of the Book of Enoch was found among the Dead Sea Scrolls. Almost no one doubts it is older than the book of Jude and that Jude quoted from it, believing it to be scripture, or at the very least, having a deep regard for it. So much so that he includes it in his letter as an...

Revelation to John and the end of the world

The way I understand the Book of the Revelation is as a book particular to an entire genre, known generally as apocalyptic writings. There are a number of these writings and they are similar in form and content. The Book of Revelation has caught the eye of many Christians and non-Christians...

    The Case for Christ

Matthew and Luke are completely different when it comes to the birth and infancy of Jesus. First off, Mark has no birth or infancy narrative. Jesus just appears. Suddenly. And John is similar to Mark in this respect. Matthew has Jesus born in Bethlehem (presumably because Mary and Joseph live...
