    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Calvin learned Biblical Hebrew and Greek to make sure that what he taught was entirely consistent with the Scripture from the original languages. I have extensively read his commentaries on the New Testament, as well as Isaiah, and see that he considered all the different views that...

    Mary is all powerful!

I have already sat that examination and passed.

    Mary is all powerful!

The issue is that RC theology is based more on what successive popes have decreed as doctrine over and above the Bible. This is the same as the "new revelation" that some Charismatics are teaching that is also not found in the Bible, but is extra-Biblical revelation that they say the Holy...

    Mary is all powerful!

I just go on what the New Testament says about her. The last reference to her was that she was just one of 120 disciples who were filled with the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. There are no references to her after that. If she had such an important role in the New Testament church you...

    Mary is all powerful!

Are you saying that this refers to Mary? You'd have to be scraping the bottom of the barrel to come up with this one!
  6. Paul Christensen

    Mary is all powerful!

Check to see if this reference is what the Bible says: "Mary is the way, the truth and the life, and no-one comes to the Father except by her."

    Mary is all powerful!

The "all powerful" Mary, "Queen of Heaven" is nothing more than a Roman Catholic invention. The real Mary is in her grave awaiting the resurrection of the dead when Jesus comes again. No one outside of the RCC actually believes that Mary is anything else but bones in a grave somewhere in Israel.

    Mary is all powerful!

Mary is just another Christian believer whose body is in the grave, and her spirit is in Paradise with all the other spirits awaiting the return of Christ.

Can you be saved if you don't believe in the diety of Christ?

The short answer is, No! The way a word is spelled makes all the difference to the meaning. The deity of Christ is one thing, being on a food diet in the name of Christ is quite another! :-)

What is the meaning of Tartarus

At first, when I read the word "Tartarus" I thought it was a sauce they put on fish.

    What constitutes penance!

Matthew 3:2 deals with repentance, which involves ceasing to disobey the Ten Commandments. It is what we stop doing that is displeasing to God, rather than doing anything to try and show God that we are sorry for our sins. Penance is merely an invention of the Roman Catholic Church, and means...

    What constitutes penance!

No. It's our local public male toilet where they all hang out!
  13. Paul Christensen

    What constitutes penance!

Use a feather duster to get the dust off your copy of the Bible and read it for yourself.
  14. Paul Christensen

    What constitutes penance!

Just because you have gone through the concordance and quoted all these verses doesn't prove anything at all. None of the verses actually link the teaching of Jesus Christ to the Roman Catholic Church. Just a quick reading of church history clearly shows that there is no line of Apostolic...

WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN A NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH?

That is just an imaginary Jesus you have made up out of your own head. Certainly not the Jesus described in the New Testament.
  16. Paul Christensen

    What constitutes penance!

All I am doing is reflecting what the Bible actually says about the finished work of Christ on the Cross.
  17. Paul Christensen

    What constitutes penance!

All I see is a collection of random verses out of their normal context. Proves nothing.
  18. Paul Christensen

WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN A NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH?

It doesn't mean that Jesus left heaven to reveal Himself to Paul. He could quite easily punch through the dividing wall between the spiritual world and the physical world. Heaven is not zillions of miles away. Our physical world co-exists with the spiritual world. This how Jesus could...
