And they know better..

You confess sin all your Christian life for of many years.... , and to pretend on a public Christian forum 5x.... that none of those sins (works of the flesh) you have ever committed were committed intentionally........is not a good idea .

Now, you will need to respond to that emotional feeling you have, that is pushing you to keep repeating your statement, and so, you go right ahead, as ive had you tell us this nonsense at least 4 times, and i wanted the members to see that the person who defines himself as the "chaplin of the entire internet".....has some confessing to do.

For the Christian, what sins are not willful? Doesn't the idea of a Christian unwillfully committing a sin go against the teaching from Scripture that we've been freed from the power of sin? So that there is no sin you cannot choose to not commit, isn't that so?

You didn't answer my question though. What sins are unintentional? Not willful? Or in other words, what sin is there that you cannot refuse to commit in Christ's power?

Personally I think the Hebrews passage is referring to Jews who have heard about Jesus but choose to continue to offer sacrifices for their sins.

Regardless, I don't believe there is such a thing as willful and unwillful sins for the Christian. I believe you and I both make choices, and sometimes those choices result in sin. So I ask, what sin is "unwillful"?

What Paul actually teaches is that He is "made free from sin" and that God does not Charge sin to any Christian

Yes, actually any Christians is "made free from sin".........and to exist where sin consciousness is gone.........is to exist in a discipleship that is not in bondage to committing works of the Flesh.

The Devil created a Theology, using Romans 7, that teaches....that your Chrisitianity (Reader) is..."sin, confess, repeat" and you have no power to stop.

= When in fact, God has created our Salvation to not only give us Eternal Life as Eternal Security, but He has remedied the "sin nature" because our "old man of sin is dead" so "how can we live any longer therein"? Paul teaches.

So, if you are living in the old man of flesh, like Net Chaplin, you will be teaching that "Christians will sin" and then out of the out of the other side of his mouth, he says that you wont do it intentionally.

We are told that we have been freed from sin.
We are told to reckon ourselves to be actually dead to sin, and alive to God.
We are told to not let sin rule in our bodies, to not obey it.

We are free from sin. We are to consider ourselves dead to sin. Are these things true?

Personally I think the reason we still sin is that our minds are not fully renewed to think/live according to our new creation.

I think that to walk in the Spirit is to, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to actually live according to our new creation. The more consistent we will be, the less we sin.

Why would a Christian desire to sin willfully?

Because the lust of the flesh = temptations that are your flesh's desires , do not end, until you die.

So, the remedy, is not to try to resist, or to confess it......the rememdy for this "in the flesh" issue, is to understand how God perceives a born again Christian as having become......."made righteous", as "The righteousness of God.. in Christ"., and that become OUR MIND, and our REVELATION... and our REAL FAITH.

So, its by having a correct understanding of what it means to have become A "NEW Creation" in Christ as our REAL FAITH.....= is the deliverance from "works of the flesh".

See, wanting to enjoy carnality, as a born again Christian, is solved not by trying to resist it, but by coming into the revelaiton of who we are "in Christ" as our Right Mind.......or the "renewed mind" as Paul Teaches.

Not intended? How is it that you can act without intent? If you speak to someone harshly, unrightfully, it's you that is forming the words, forming the tone, all that, isn't it? I do not understand how someone can say, "Yes, I hit you, but I didn't intend to, I wasn't choosing to, my arm acted on its own, It's not me that did it."

If we don't understand how our own choices affect our behavior, how will we know to make better choices?

Normally I feel like I track right alongside of you, though in this case I think there is more to this, than, "I only commit unwillful sins". That makes absolutely no sense to me.

God's Law is no more!

No wonder there are other false teachers and teachings that spring up. Like, Eternal Salvation,i.e Eternal Security, is a myth. You can lose Salvation.

The Born Again Christian is no longer in the fallen state,category, of Sinner. Our sins no longer count against us. They are under the blood of Jesus.
We all make mistakes. Those are sins.
Wilful sin,such as, adultery, is something else. Yet,it is still sin.

One sin that is unforgiven? Blasphemy of God's Holy Spirit.

I browsed a Christian site just before the 2024 election.
What an experience. There was rabid Trump hater-aid jumping off on the board dedicated to Bible study.
One small,thank God,group were accusing Conservative Christians of worshipping Donald Trump. One insisted he was those on board Christians god.

When those Christians under attack have the Holy Spirit within them,those there who claimed to know Christ yet were insisting God's Holy Spirit was wilfully evicted by the haters own imagination and replaced with Trump we're blaspheming Holy Spirit.

Thankfully,the actual Christians there knew better. TDS doesn't tell God what to do.

Here's the point. We have to be careful of who we read and let tell us what God means to say in scripture
When God knows what he means to teach us and even died to seal his covenant for all time.
And falsehood cannot cancel that unless we choose to believe false purveyors of a contrary gospel. Which is actually not Gospel at all .

On that board I mentioned,there were false teachers there who claimed to preach too.

God help those who remained seated in any venue where the false ones appeared. Getting up and walking out saves time. And souls,so they might find their way to the truth of God in Christ.

This is why God does not imput sin.... 2 Corin 5:19...Romans 4:18...... to a born again believer for 2 reason.

A.) "God hath made JESUS to be sin for us".........and we are "not under the law"...therefore there is no Justification found whereby God can charge a born again believer with sin.

AA.) No Law = no sin found..........and the "born again, are not under the law, but under Grace"

Reader........notice.........When Adam and Eve were in the world.......sin was also in the world, but it was not charged to anyone because there was no LAW, yet given.

"where there is no Law, there is no Transgression (sin) =charged".

Now, where this causes Christians to begin to squirm..., is because their first carnal thought is not to understand this "simplicity that is found in Christ".......but their first thought is....>>"but what if i do something really bad"...... 'How can that not be SIN"..

Amen!!! For me the most important of all is to know what the Bible itself says, so that I can measure my thoughts and feelings and actions against God's Word. The Bible is the objective source of truth by which I can be certain that the voice in my heart is the Holy Spirit, and not my own thoughts, whether what's inside me does or does not align with God's Word.

There is no doubt that the Bible teaches we either live according to Law or according to the Spirit of Christ, and we cannot do both. To live according to Law means we are not living according to the Spirit. And to live according to the Spirit means we are not living according to Law.

The Law falls far short of the Spirit of Christ within us. I'll use one example, the Law commands, "do not steal". But the Spirit goes far beyond that, teaching us not only to not steal, but to work extra than we need so we can give to others, as we live with others as family. The Law doesn't go that far.

And not only that. We can take the list of rules in the Law and apply them as best we know. But the Spirit within us can instruct us moment by moment toward how to best express God's love for others as we care for their needs, in ways the Law doesn't even begin to address.

If you want to look at more Scriptures, if you want to look in particular at certain ones, I'll be happy to go through them for you.

It's our desire to keep the Law that works against us, as the Law provokes the flesh,

the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

When we realize we are no longer governed by the Law, we will no longer be trying to direct our own steps as we endeavor to keep the list of rules, and we can live moment by moment trusting in Jesus to lead us to do what is good, and not do what is wrong.

This is NOT a license to sin, it's how God provides that we can stop sin. I know it can seem backwards, but it's very much in the Scriptures.
