I would argue that history does not repeat itself, but it does offer lessons. And the lesson from Jews in WWII is that out of some 9M European Jews, slightly less than 1% (some ~60,000) Jews emigrated from Europe to Palestine. And of course they not only had challenges surviving in a desert land, but they also had to deal with attacks by Arabs.
One third (3M) of the European Jews were able to escape detection and survive in Europe, and many had hopes similar to Mr. Frank whose gentile business partner would provide provisions in the attic of their business. But unfortunately Mr. Frank and all those in that attic apartment were caught and only Mr. Frank survived the crematoriums, where he returned to find his daughter's diary.
And the last two thirds (2/3rds) were simply hauled off and murdered:
Now I can't explain the significance of "11" and the multiple of "11" (22), but I can attest that this passage is prophetic* for the 1944 peak of the Holocaust destruction.
And I can suggest that there will most likely be some ~1% of the church which will flee to the mountains. The balance of the ~1/3rd and ~2/3rds can only be speculated as being those who may have fates typical of either surviving or enduring unto death; and those who constitute the Great (2/3rds could depict "Great") Falling Away. -- This is by no means founded Prophetically, but it seems a reasonable premise.
So given this premise, one should consider which fate you would choose for yourself and your family. -- Personally, I'd choose the 1% knowing that less that a hundred and fifty Jews died in defending themselves in Palestine (only 2 out of every thousand), but the other two options had much lower odds of survival.
Having a "mountain" (a stocked cabin) to flee to is not a guarantee for survival, -- it's simply what GOD recommends. But is anyone listening?
