yes because if you do not double check your boss might blame you and staged that it is your fault but it is clearly his/hers for not double checking the work of her/his subordinates

I've never quite had that happen. I wouldn't put it passed some though.

I keep accounting simple by just thinking debit is how much you actually have while credit is how much you owe.
