What He did do, was start with then, and cover the church age:Matt 244 ...Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. (Quote)So how easy you forget what ever verse's do not suit your doctrine What is the subject of this chapter ?? 3As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"
Exactly! Did you read over the part that said, "When will this happen?" He did indeed, cover the coming, and He covered the end of the age. But He also covered the entire church age, briefly. Without preconceived glasses, phrases like "beginning of sorrows," and "the end is not yet," really mean something. Many people want to make the Olivet discourse about the church. It is not about the church, but about the Jews. Did you ever notice, they did not call it "Paul's trouble," they called it "Jacob's trouble. It is not called the gentile's 70th week: it is called Daniel's 70th week. Daniel was a Jewish prophet prophesying about the Jews.Kriss, if you are so sure I am wrong, perhaps you will answer the questions I mentioned:Why was no man found? Why was Jesus not at the right hand of the Father? Why did John weep much? Why was the Holy Spirit in the throne room, and not on the earth?Which rider rides alone? How can you understand the first seal, when you do not understand the context of the first seal? Finally, what does "the end is not yet" mean to you?Coop
