A Quesion For Regular Members

For the regular members that have been coming here for quite some time now; have you advertised this christian forum for members at your church to join in by placing the internet address in bulletins or on bulletin boards for them to look up to join? Do you post an ad in the classified in the paper for christians to join? Just wondering.

No. I tell people about it but I don't advertise it in the bulletin. Most of them aren't interested in debating theology. I also venture a large chunk of them are just Sunday warriors. I actually sit so I can observe the congregation. And yea, a lot of them are just saving face so it would be counter productive to advertise this forum or any other forum for that matter.

Think of it as an outreach ministry to ask questions that they would otherwise be afraid or timid to ask since they can do so anonymously on this forum here.

I keep wondering how patented sermons and timed Sunday school lessons allow any growth.

What happens when believers are afraid to ask question for fearing they will look "stupid" or "making waves" or whatever when they sincerely want to know?

Most questions would normally go to the back burner in their minds and never ask the question that bothers them or confront an issue Biblically that they have trouble with as it could very well be affecting their walk with Him or their faith in Him.

Of course, they should be made aware that not every answer given here is the correct one, but only the Lord can make the answer stick out to them and confirm the word to them that this is the truth.

You're preaching to the converted. This forum has been active since 2006 and we have been doing just that and much more.

A lot of personal inquiries are handled behind the scenes because we are here to help people. God gets all the glory that way!

I agree with the perspective that this is a Christian debate forum, not a place to send non Christians to.
The church is a force meant to be directed into the world, not a field to bring people into.
