The enigmatic drones looming over the tri-state area are likely a deliberate distraction by a foreign power trying to hide other nefarious activities in the US, one expert has claimed.

“These drones and this activity is too large, too well-organized to be the work of hobbyists,” Gordon Chang, a senior fellow at the Gatestone Institute think-tank and author of “Plan Red: China’s Project to Destroy America,” told Fox Business.

“And that sort of leaves foreign powers. It could be Iran, it could be Iran in connection with China, but clearly, somebody is trying to absorb our attention,” he claimed of the numerous sightings of the well-lit drones.

(NewsNation) — Amid growing concern over mysterious drone sightings across New Jersey, a leading drone expert suggests the aircraft may be part of routine military surveillance operations rather than a foreign threat.

Mike Fraietta, an FAA drone pilot and founder of Gargoyle Systems, told NewsNation that most reported sightings are likely manned aircraft or authorized military tests.

“Is this a friend or foe drone? My gut says these are friendly drones,” Fraietta said Saturday on “NewsNation Prime.”

The expert pointed to confidential flight notices near McGuire Air Force Base and potential military reconnaissance missions as probable explanations for the widespread drone activity. He believes a “failure of communication” between government agencies is fueling public panic.

While dozens of witnesses have reported drone sightings since November, spanning locations from the Raritan River to coastal areas and near military installations, federal officials maintain the drones do not represent a public safety threat.

As I said in post #2, its too easy to send a plane up. We have satellites that can pick them up. There is a missing shipment of medical grade radioactive material. I'm sure the Fed is looking for it and embarrassing themselves by looking inept. Just say you are looking for the shipment and the public will help find it.

I would be more inclined to believe some terrorist group or whacko that somehow they believed, told the US they have setup a nuclear dirty bomb, and they are looking for that. And that it's fake news.
if a WMD was somewhere of type unknown, location unknown, telling the public would be useless. And keeping it super secret the best idea.

I have also wondered if Russia and China launched nukes at the US and the US knew which cities would be hit it they would tell us anything abut that, as nothing could be done for those cities if they did actually hit and perhaps the military could shoot them down before that.

Thanks, it still might be a hail mary pass trying to cause a scare before Trump takes office. Only problem is nobody is buying it. Trump was asked about it a news conference, he indicated he knew about it and wouldn't comment.
