Ephesians 1:5,
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
What you see in the prodigal son when he returned home is he learned something, he learned something about his father. He learned his portion without his father meant nothing to him. He was taking on the making of a son, the spirit of adoption. He thought he knew all about his father untill he was seperated from him. He realized in my father's house! is my father and everything I need is there. He realized things he got from his father means nothing! without his father.
The spirit of adoption works like that in an individual live. We will be separated over and over again untill we learn. How or where does seperation take place since Paul said in Romans 8:35,
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
It happens in mind, the only place you can seperate yourself from your father is in mind. How do we do that? By taking the mind and giving it to the flesh, the believer chooses to do their own thing, so to say. Why does this happen? They have not learned the spirit of adoption, they will still suffer the schoolhouse. Trained to be an obedient son/dauther that knows seperation from the father and is ever aware of it. The pleasing of the father is an obedient child whom does not need to be corrected all the time.
We dont need half the goods we think we do, what is needed by the believer is the virtues of God, love, peace, joy, temperance, gentleness, goodness, meekness, faith, longsuffering, you see there is no law against that. The world, both Christian world and unbelieving world really needs this kind of action to take place right now. It is a volatile world and Christians can be the difference just by their lifestyle and the way they handle others. The fruit of the Spirit is available to a believer as they learn to walk and live in the Spirit, Galatians 5:25,
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
