Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has fallen ill due to his heavy workload, a close associate told the Iranian state news agency late Saturday. "The president will eventually heal and continue his job," said Kowsari, who last September accompanied the president on his trip to the UN General Assembly. "Every human being can face exhaustion under such a workload." On Saturday, flanked by bodyguards, he participated in the funeral ceremony for recently discovered remains of soldiers from the 1980s Iran-Iraq war. Over the weekend, reports in the Islamic Republic claimed the Iranian president's health was deteriorating, with a top aide, Amir Mansour Borghei, telling journalists the president was "indisposed." Kowsari accused his opponents of using Ahmadinejad's exhaustion as an excuse to spread rumors about whether he will run for a second term in the June 2009 elections. "Those who use such a natural issue for psychological warfare will fail" to gain support in public opinion, he said. In the past weeks, supporters of Ahmadinejad have been discussing potential candidates for the next presidential election, implying that the sitting president is not their automatic choice. All previous Iranian presidents completed both their terms, except the first one, Abolhasan Banisadr, who fled the country in 1981. The months ahead are critical for Ahmadinejad to try to rebuild his political base and rebut critics pointing to his unfulfilled campaign promises, including extending the wealth of Iran's oil revenue to poorer provinces around the country. With over 10 percent unemployment and 30% inflation, Iran has been unable to bask in record-high oil prices - which are just barely covering domestic subsidies.

I hope it is just exhaustion the only thing worse than a healthy Ahmadinejad is a dying one When you are deluded as he is and think you are the chosen one to bring the End times Where the Muslim Imam comes with his servant Jesus who will announce Islam as the only true religion. He has sworn to wipe Israel off the map God only knows what he will do, if he is fatally ill.

This news does not surprise me considering the way he threatened Israel. In reality, since you know we in the United States are Israel and the part that has the birthright, the curse should be all the more to whoever curses us. However, God prophesied we'd be militarily mighty and the world does not know us as being Israel, so to utter anything against us may be partially excusable. I think God in that sense knows we take care of ourselves. But to make such a statement against the known people of God is the height of arrogance and is inexcusable. No wonder he's ill. Reminds me what happened to King Herod suddenly.

I don't know whether our dire condition is God's judgement, but we'll have liberal-socialist Obama as our president and a Democratic-controlled Congress because we support Israel. We went to war with Iraq to support Israel. As a result of that war, or a result of how poorly it was going, the American people voted in a Democratically controlled Congress. Now, we have McCain who is the face of the Iraq war, and who wants to go to war with Iran for Israel, which does not excite the people so they're voting for Obama. The bad US economic economic situation (which is the final nail in McCain's chances of winning)? Support of Israel again. The Iraq war for Israel has not only cost thousands of American lives, it has cost our economy hundreds of billions of dollars, mainly in higher oil prices and the direct cost of the war itself. Same-sex marriage? Israel again. With our "conservative" leaders focused on wars for Israel, they've very deliberately ceded the marriage issue to liberals. The Iranian leader, his criticism of Israel has nothing to do with his health. That would be his 20-hour-work days.
