Good sermon. He speaks the truth.
I like the comparison to how the Isrealites rejected God and began to worship the golden calf. I think in some ways now the whole gentile world who the promise was also made to are reaching the point of rejecting God and worshipping the modern day version of the golden calf.
I think the alter is not a traditional alter which any religion can have in making sacrifices to their gods to appease them. Rather as Paul said the gentiles are made as a pure sacrifice at the alter of Christ.
As Christians we sacrifice ourselves like Christ at Gods spiritual alter.
This is the complete opposite of anarchy against God. The opposite anti Christ and anti self sacrifice. Instead a rebellion against God to make their own gods like the golden calf and the pagan gods and idols of the world.

Yes bishop Cei has a lot of wisdom and insight. I heard him talking about spiritual warfare and Ephesians 6...he brought out a lot of good points.
