It's getting much more difficult to find movies today with any real substance that edify Christ's Body. But I found one lately that does, called Time Changer. It's a movie with real Christian values, and even has no problem using Jesus' Name accordingly as our Saviour.

Time Changer starts out in the mid 1800's about debate between a couple Christian seminary professors on the point of teaching morals alone, without the authority of Christ attached to it. The professor who disagrees shows the other one why when he unveils a machine for time travel, and takes the professor to the future, to our times. Society of the 1800's in regards to public knowledge and honor of God and His Word is contrasted with our times today.

I recall how sinful public behaviour of today was sorely rebuked by the majority while growing up in the 1950's. Open Christian correction on the street was accepted when I was growing up. So imagine how much more open sin in public society was abhored further back in 1800's America.

So here's the Experiment:

Go to your public library, or a university school library. Scan through old newspaper clippings on microfische and read through articles dealing with moral issues among the public in relation to God's Word. The farther you go back in American history in those old newspapers, the more you will see public morals changing, with sin in public becoming more and more accepted as the norm the closer to our times you get.

That's a good way for young folks to get an unbiased view of how the times have changed. It's a way to checkout all the stories grandma and grandpa used to tell of how things were in their days in America. Just by reading through the subject titles of stories in Reader's Digest between the 1960's and the 1990's reveals quite a bit of change in society's acceptance of immorality against God's Word.

Christ's Apostles especially warned us of our times today when many would leave sound doctrine from God's Truth in His Word. The times truly are becoming how it was in Noah's day like our Lord Jesus foretold.
