Anyone still use the anointing oil?

For years the Pentecostal Holiness church would keep a bottle of anointing oil right there on the pulpit. People would come up at a certain time during the service and the preacher and the deacons would pray for them, anointing them with oil.

Nowadays its hard enough to find the bottle of oil much less someone who will pray for you in faith!

The peachers at my church will usually bring a bottle to the hospital to anoint the heads of the sick from our congregartion. It is also done by request.

All Born again Christians should be able to provide the evidence, Especially those who are baptised in the Holy Ghost,
Jesus said we shall receive power when we are baptised in the Holy Ghost, Acts 1: 8, He went on to say, We shall be a witness, "A witness", Is one who can produce the evidence.
Jesus also said the believer shall lay hands on the sick, And they shall recover.

Where does the Bible say, Only the Apostles did miracles??.
In fact the Bible says the disciple were to heal the sick, All seventy of them in Lk 10: 1--9.
Philip wasn't an Apostle, He was an Evangelist, Acts 21: 8. Acts 8:5--7. Yet he was doing healings.
Anaias was just a disciple, Yet he healed Pau, And got Paul baptised in the Holy Ghost.
Jesus said, "THE BELIEVER", shall lay hands on the sick, And they shall recover. Mk 16: 17--18.
Jesus said,"THOSE THAT BELIEVE", Shall do the same works that Jesus did, Jn 14: 12,
PLEASE NOTE, Jesus didn't say, Just the Apostles, DID HE??.. NO..NO..

You can have your own opinions, But I will saty with what the Bible teaches, And God uses me to heal the sick and do miracles, So you have come to late to tell me people can't be used of God to heal the sick.

He was talking to , and instructing the apostles.
I do not think we can automatically apply those verses to ourselves
We are the results of the apostles works and duties and ministries
We should not think too highly of ourselves , it has an aroma of boastful pride without results.
Today , if someone could truly perform miracles and healings .... the sick would be lined up for hundreds of miles

Notice it says Jesus appointed the seventy two others Luke 10:1
I have no doubt Jesus could "appoint" someone to do the same today
But I have not seen it yet
And I cannot claim to be one of the "appointed"

I am baptized with the Holy Spirit (1987) ..... and know hundreds of others in my small city who have been baptized with the Holy Spirit

And have yet to see or hear of even one of them performing a miracle or healing the sick

but they sure talk about it a lot

If you haven't seen any healings or miracles, As I said.
The reason you haven't seen the healing and miracle working power of God, Is, Because you go to the wrong Church, And mix with the wrong people, If you want to see it, Then go to a Church and a people who God uses to do healings.

A New Testamen Church is a Church that does healings and miracles.

First of all, the problems Paul had with speaking in tongues in the Corinthian Church are the same problems we see in today's church. Second, speaking in tongues back then was done in an unlearned earthly language. Not a made up bunch of vain babblings. And the gift was even more in the hearing of it than it was in the speaking of it! (like in the case of Peter) If the gift is in fact meant for unbelievers, then what does speaking in a bunch of vain babblings do for an unbeliever when there's no way that he can verify that what was spoken was indeed what was interpreted?
If tongues was the initial evidence of being filled with the Spirit I would think that Paul would have said so in 1 Cor. 12. But he didn't.

To be filled with the Spirit means that someone will act under the Spirit's control and the fruit of the Spirit will follow. The evidence of being filled with the Spirit is the fruit of the Spirit.
Paul said that not everyone will speak in tongues, not everyone will heal, not everyone will teach, not everyone will be workers of miracles. So does that mean that everyone who doesn't speak in tongues is not filled with the Spirit? Absolutely not! Paul said that all Christian's who have been baptized by the Spirit are baptized into the body of Christ. Paul also said that not all Christian's would speak in tongues.

There's a difference between tongues of men and tongues of angels. So explain this...

If speaking in tongues is meant for unbelievers then why is it that the speaker is not speaking unto men where no man understands him?
It's kind of foolish to say that tongues are a sign to unbelievers when the speaker speaks not unto men and isn't understood!
I've seen people walk right out of Church when the same guy spoke in tongues on a weekly basis. It was obvious that he was a fake. and it was obvious the interpretation was fake too. Speaking in tongues is the easiest spiritual gift to fake. it makes people think they are spiritually affluent.
I actually dislike it when people speak in tongues in Church. It disrupts the service. Of the hundreds of times I've witnessed it only twice was it authentic. The tongues speaker spoke in an earthly language he didn't know. And the interpreter who correctly interpreted it didn't know the language the speaker spoke in either. The three Muslim's who were there heard the speaker speak in their native language of Greek also heard the English interpretation that corresponded to what was spoken in Greek. That's how the gift of tongues is meant for unbelievers. What was spoken in Greek was verified by what was interpreted in English!

But your thought concerning the spiritual gift of speaking in tongues ignores what Paul said in 1 Cor. 14:2.
It also conflicts with what Paul said in 1Cor. 12 through the end of chapter 14.

I am sorry that your experiences were negative, but I have witnessed all the spiritual gifts at work many times. I have also witnessed the imitation of spiritual gifts too but I don't let the imitations effect the way I interpret or understand scriptures.
