Romans 6:18 and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

Do we think we are free from the consequences of sin...or from sin itself?

Are we truly bondslaves of Jesus Christ..or do we just exploit Jesus for the benefits without the full surrender?

1401 doúlos (a masculine noun of uncertain derivation) – properly, someone who belongs to another; a bond-slave, without any ownership rights of their own. Ironically, 1401 /doúlos ("bond-slave") is used with the highest dignity in the NT – namely, of believers who willingly live under Christ's authority as His devoted followers.

The thing about being a slave is that when your Owner tells you to do something, it's always "Yes, Master!". Never "No", "After I'm done with this", "I'm not in the right frame of mind yet", or "I'll think about it".

At least that is the way it's supposed to be.
